One of the things I really enjoy about walking around Japan is seeing how naturally trees are incorporated into everyday life. They are not limited to forests or large parks. Trees can be found along quiet streets, beside buildings, in public spaces and even in busy urban areas.
From the pictures I took in my trip, you can see how different the surroundings can be. In one place, there is a wide open green space filled with mature trees. The leaves provide shade and make the area feel peaceful, even though it is within the city. In another, a narrow path runs through tall grass and greenery, creating the feeling that you are walking somewhere far from the urban environment.
I find the contrast between nature and the city interesting and beautiful. Some of my photos show trees among concrete buildings, roads and crowds. The greenery improves the city landscape, making nature a part of urban life. A row of trees can make a busy street more pleasant, while a small park can provide a quiet place to sit and take a break.
