Shibuya Crossing

Shibuya Crossing is widely known as one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world. Located near Shibuya Station, it sits in the heart of Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s major commercial and entertainment districts. During a single green light cycle, as many as 3,000 people may cross the intersection at once. Opened in 1973, Shibuya Crossing has become a popular tourist attraction and an iconic symbol of Tokyo, often featured in television shows, films, and other forms of media.

The famous statue of Hachiko can also be found nearby. Hachiko was an Akita dog remembered for his extraordinary loyalty to his owner, Hidesaburou Ueno. Even after Ueno died in 1925, Hachiko continued returning to the area and waiting for him for nearly ten years. His story has since become a beloved symbol of loyalty and devotion in Japan.
