Sometimes the simplest pictures turn out to be my favorites. No special outfit, no fancy background, and no complicated poses. Just me, my messy hair, a comfortable striped shirt, and a little smile. π
Today I felt like staying home and enjoying some peace and quiet. After spending so much time surrounded by energetic little children, I really appreciate those moments when I can just relax and do absolutely nothing.
Don't get me wrong, I love being a preschool teacher! But anyone who works with young children knows that they have enough energy for about ten adults. Haha! π
Between singing songs, helping with activities, answering endless questions, and making sure everyone is getting along, my days can be pretty exhausting.
And sometimes, when I finally get home, all I want to do is change into something comfortable, let my hair down, and lie around for a while.
That's exactly the kind of mood I was in when I took this picture. πΈ
I wasn't planning to post anything, but I liked how natural my smile looked. Usually, I take several selfies, make funny faces, change the angle of my phone, and then spend forever deciding which picture looks best.
This time, I just wanted something simple.
I've been thinking lately about how much my life has changed since I started teaching. At 23, I still feel like I'm learning so many things about myself.
Some days I feel confident and completely sure about what I'm doing. Other days, I wonder if I'm making the right decisions or if I'm doing enough.
But then I remember that growing up isn't about having everything figured out.
It's about learning, making mistakes, trying again, and appreciating the little moments along the way. π
My students actually remind me of that every day. They're not afraid to ask questions, laugh at silly things, or celebrate the smallest achievements.
Maybe I should follow their example a little more often.
Outside the classroom, I'm still just a girl who enjoys taking selfies, listening to music, spending time with friends, and occasionally spending an entire afternoon doing nothing productive.
And honestly, I think that's perfectly okay.
I don't always need exciting plans or a beautiful outfit to feel happy. Sometimes a quiet afternoon, comfortable clothes, and a genuine smile are more than enough.
So here's today's little selfie. Nothing extraordinary, just a happy moment I wanted to keep. π·
Now I'm going to enjoy the rest of my free time before another busy week of tiny chairs, colorful crayons, and little voices calling, "Teacher!" every five minutes. ππ
