Stake House Den, Maximizing My Hot Sauce Production and Opening Lady Luck Packs

Sorry for posting so late today everyone, but have spent the afternoon at medical appointments... Real life has to come first!

Although I haven't done an update post for a few weeks now, I still am busy playing the fun casino action game Stake House Den. Most times when I have started playing games on Hive I have been hoping to make a little money along the way. A prime example was Splinterlands, the game that introduced me to the Hive blockchain! I did make some money, and then lost quite a bit too. But it was fun.

Stake House Den I decided to begin playing it because it looked like fun. And my mindset for this game is to play it for the fun factor and not worry about making money. If I happen to make some I won't complain, but I don't expect to. I'm finding that I enjoy the game a lot more since I approached it form this angle!

Stake House Den is part of Arcade Colony which includes other games including Splinterlands. As a matter of fact you can earn Colony tokens for having staked SPS in Splinterlands. My holding aren't nearly what they used to be but I do earn some Colony every day.

Today I decided to go ahead and purchase a couple more Lady Luck card packs. My reasoning behind it? To hopefully increase my Hot Sauce production which is the in game currency used in Stake House Den. I'm not going to cover much of the basics today, but I did make a tutorial post some time back you can check it out here .

First off, to buy some packs you go to arcadecolony.com . Under the shop option simply select Lady Luck and it's pretty easy from there.

As you can I see I bought two packs, and also purchased ten gold and legendary flux. They increase your odds of getting gold or legendary cards when you open your packs and I always use them. You can pay with credits that you can buy with fiat, but I always just use Script you can pick up on Hive Engine or BeeSwap.

Now to open them proceed to the game homepage and select Menu and select My Packs.

Then just open them!

But if you are using flux make sure they are appropriately selected.

In this case I had zero luck from the gold flux as I pulled no gold cards. I did pull a legendary Red Joker card which is always a good thing! Asking price on those is currently $25, however there has been no volume at all in the market in the last 24 hours. So selling cards can take a long time, don't say I didn't warn you!

To maximize Hot Sauce production it is essential to merge your cards. Merged cards will always produce more combined than by their selves, especially in the legendary and gold categories. For tables on how many cards are needed to merge this table is very helpful here.

Out of the two Lady Luck packs today I was fortunate to pull a Jack of Spades and a Queen of Diamonds. They both gave me five total copies of each and I was able to merge them to produce an additional 25 Hot Sauce per day. You can see in this first screenshot that the level one Jack only produces 2 units per day.

Then some merging magic by applying the copies together:

And we get a level 2 Jack of Spades, which is a rare card.

Now by going back to my cards under the menu section and clicking on the card you can see it now is able to produce 12.5 Hot Sauce per day. I then of course staked this in the refrigerator to begin increasing my daily earnings. I did the same with the Queen of Diamonds as well!

And now I'm producing 353 Hot Sauce a day. I'm going to need to invest in ten more packs here shortly and buy some more Script to stake those cards. I probably also will need to expand my fridge at the same time which costs 25 Script. So next post I'll go over those changes! It won't be an inexpensive venture!

Now for some game play! I don't play roulette or slots anymore, just no luck!

Black Jack

I played a couple sessions of black jack recently after saving up over 3K Hot Sauce for each session. I decided to bet 1K Hot Sauce at a go to try and earn more Colony per win. However, I have run into an incredible bad streak of luck and kept losing hand after hand. Of my big bets I only have won one out of six, which is astronomically bad luck in black jack. Here's one win at a higher bet of 1K, I won 8.7 Colony.

And some smaller wins after the bigger bets were almost all losers.

I even got black jack on this one, too bad it wasn't a big bet! lol

And a loser, I didn't include many of them even though there were far more than there were wins!

And upon exit you can see my winnings on these two sessions. What I learned is that in order to win large amounts of Colony you have to bet big! You also need to have a large quantity of Colony staked. Right now I only have 50K and I need to work on improving those numbers!

And finally the leaderboard, I am down to number 9. Not good at all, so I will need much more Hot Sauce and staked Colony to finally get me climbing up the ranks again!

So in conclusion, I have some more areas to improve on in the game still. It is a lot of fun though! Am I making money? I would say absolutely not. That may change in the future if more people join in the fun, but that isn't why I'm playing.
