The Financial Analysis of My Investment in the Conclave Arcana Card Set
+ 20 Starter Packs Opened and My Last Arcana Card Upgrades!
On May 13, 2025 the Conclave Arcana card set entered into Splinterlands game modes and produced:
- the exit of the Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers cards from the Modern Format.
- the introduction of 82 new cards to which more cards (Conflicts, Promotions, etc.) will be added.
- the introduction of 11 new abilities
- three new foils for cards (Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil and Black Foil Arcane).
My favorite game mode on Splinterlands is Ranked Play.
My favorite game format is the Modern Format because I enjoy playing against human players like myself and in this format it is prohibited to use bots and it is prohibited to use Battle Helpers.
With the removal of the Chaos Legion set cards from the Modern Format my battle strength in the Modern Format has greatly diminished but I have begun to build up a collection of cards of the Arcana Conclave set through the purchase of the Arcana Conclave card packs.
During the presale I purchased 10 Standard Packs for which I spent 40000 DEC.
During the general sale I purchased 37 Starter Packs for which I spent 37000 DEC.
For the Arcana Conclave set I chose to follow a strategy similar to the strategy I followed for the Rebellion set because:
- during the presale I invested the minimum necessary to receive 1 BCX of the Arcane Skinwalker promo card.
- I chose to invest more during the general sale because only at this stage is it possible to have more useful information such as complete knowledge of the cards' statistics, the market value of the cards and estimated value of a pack of cards.
In building my Conclave Arcana set card collection, I chose to start with the purchase of card packs and specifically chose to purchase 37 Starter packs to build a card base to complement my Rebellion cards by spending relatively little compared to other card packs.
I chose to purchase starter packs also because I always found an estimated value above the cost of purchase.
In fact, thanks to the very useful Pack Stats section of Peakmonsters you can know the estimated value of each of the 4 types of card packs of the Conclave Arcana set.
Today, May 22, 2025, based on calculations provided by Peakmonsters there are only two packs of cards that have an estimated value above the purchase cost:
- Arcana Alchemy pack (only if opened using Legendary Potions and Midnight Potions together): Estimated profit +23.01%
- Arcana Starter pack (no potions): Estimated profit +13.45%
Because I found even today an estimated value above the purchase cost for the starter packs, I decided to continue buying them and purchased another 20 starter packs.

Thanks to the cards I found inside the 20 starter packs, I was able to make some upgrades:
Ashen Cindergrim: level 2 -> level 3
Cavewise Wayfinder: level 2 -> level 3
Flame for Hire: level 1 -> level 2
Bludgeon Hucker: level 2 -> level 3
Steppe Stalker: level 2 -> level 3
Buttercup Mauler: level 2 -> level 3
Caravan Guard: level 2 -> level 3
Thunderous Herald: level 2 -> level 3
Conclave Artificer: level 2 -> level 3
Anyu Huntswoman: level 1 -> level 2
The Financial Analysis of My Investment in the Conclave Arcana Card Set
To date I have spent:
- 40000 DEC to buy 10 Standard pack
- 57000 DEC to purchase 57 Starter packs.
The cards I found inside the packs have a total market value of 97.26$ (using Market Prices) according to the information in the My Cards section of Peakmonsters.
Based on the market value (Lowest Ask) of the DEC tokens and based on the market value of my Conclave Arcana cards, I did the financial analysis of my investment in the Conclave Arcana card set.
As you can see from the calculations in the next image I got an estimated profit = +3.89$
I will continue to follow the same purchase strategy and buy more packs of cards but only if the estimated value is higher than the purchase cost.
I conclude this post by showing my latest battle won in the Diamond III league of the Modern Format in which I used 2 Conclave Arcana cards.

Il 13 maggio 2025 il set di carte Conclave Arcana ha fatto il suo ingresso nelle modalità di gioco di Splinterlands e ha prodotto:
- la fuoriuscita delle carte Chaos Legion e Riftwatchers dal Modern Format.

La mia modalità di gioco preferita su Splinterlands è il Ranked Play.
Il mio formato di gioco preferito è il Modern Format perchè mi diverto a giocare contro giocatori umani come me e in questo formato è vietato l'uso di bots ed è vietato l'uso di Battle Helpers.

Per il set Conclave Arcana ho scelto di seguire una strategia simile alla strategia che ho seguito per il set Rebellion perchè:

- ho scelto di investire maggiormente durante la general sale perchè solo in questa fase è possibile avere più informazioni utili come la conoscenza completa delle statistiche delle carte, il valore di mercato delle carte e il valore stimato di un pacco di carte.
Per la costruzione della mia collezione di carte del set Conclave Arcana ho scelto di partire dall'acquisto dei pacchi di carte e in particolare ho scelto di acquistare 37 Starter packs per costruirmi una base di carte da affiancare alle mie carte Rebellion spendendo relativamente poco rispetto agli altri pacchi di carte.
Ho scelto di acquistare gli starter packs anche perchè ho sempre trovato un valore stimato superiore al costo di acquisto.
Infatti grazie alla utilissima sezione Pack Stats di Peakmonsters è possibile conoscere il valore stimato di ognuna delle 4 tipologie di pacco di carte del set Conclave Arcana.
Oggi 22 maggio 2025, in base ai calcoli forniti da Peakmonsters ci sono solo due pacchi di carte che hanno un valore stimato superiore al costo di acquisto:
- Arcana Alchemy pack (solo se aperto utilizzando le pozioni leggendarie e le pozioni Midnight insieme): Profitto stimato +23.01%
- Arcana Starter pack (no pozioni): Profitto stimato +13.45%
Dato che ho trovato anche oggi un valore stimato superiore al costo di acquisto per gli starter packs ho deciso di continuare ad acquistarli e ho acquistato altri 20 starter packs.

Fino ad oggi ho speso:

Le carte che ho trovato all'interno dei pacchi hanno un valore di mercato totale di 97.26$ (using Market Prices) in base alle informazioni nella sezione My Cards di Peakmonsters.
In base al valore di mercato (Lowest Ask) dei token DEC e in base al valore di mercato delle mie carte Conclave Arcana ho fatto l'analisi finanziaria del mio investimento nel set di carte Conclave Arcana.
Come puoi vedere dai calcoli presenti nella prossima immagine ho ottenuto un Profitto stimato = +3.89$
Continuerò a seguire la stessa strategia di acquisto e acquisterò altri pacchi di carte ma solo se il valore stimato sarà superiore al costo di acquisto.

STOPIt looks like its going well on your investment as it generated a profit. I was expecting pack openings to make you lose money unless you get legendary or gold foils. However, I guess those starter packs are maintaining a stable value.
Sono molto tentato anch'io dall'acquistare qualche starter pack, anche perchè per ora le carte del set CA si noleggiano molto bene (immagino perchè ce n'è molte poche a giro!).
