I started my gaming and investing adventure on Hashkings on February 8, 2022.
On the same day I wrote a short introduction to the game, shared my choice of my first purchases (Land cards and Seed cards) and also explained the reasons for my choices (estimated annual ROI).
In the same post I also showed the steps I performed to plant a Seed in a Land and start accumulating game rewards: My First Day, My First Purchases.

Today I want to continue to share my experience on Hashkings and I also want to share my thoughts on a specific NFT present in the Hashkings game: the Water Tower.

My game activity

To start playing Hashkings you need to make an initial investment which consists of purchasing a combination of NFTs along with a minimal amount of HK Water tokens (fungible tokens):

1 Avatar + 1 Land + 1 Seed + HKWATER tokens

My initial investment was 10,536 SWAP.HIVE tokens with which I purchased:

• 1 Avatar (Farmer Shaggi): 1.5 SWAP.HIVE
• 1 Land South America card: 9 SWAP.HIVE
• 1 Seed Panama Red card: 0.0375 SWAP.HIVE
• 504 HKWATER token

After my first harvest I purchased 3 more South America cards, three more Panama Red seeds and 2016 HKWATER.

Today I performed the Harvest operation from my four Land cards and got a total of 1064 BUDS tokens.

Today March 5, 2022 1064 BUDS tokens are worth 0.484 HIVE = $0.444.

The first goal I set for myself on Hashkings is to make my farm self-sufficient.

Will 1064 BUDS tokens be enough to restart production and thus be enough to buy 4 seeds and the necessary water?

Let's find out together.

In my Land South America it is possible to plant two types of seeds:

• Panama Red
• Acapulco Gold.

Land are "durable" NFTs that can be used continuously.
SEED type NFTs are "consumable" items, they can be used only once and can be purchased from https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm.

Hashkings NFTs can be purchased using different payment methods and depending on the payment method used the purchase price can vary a lot.

Among the Panama Red and Colombian Gold seeds the best purchase was the Colombian Gold seed if purchased with BUDS tokens.

I chose to buy the Colombian Gold seed because in addition to having a lower price than the Panama Red seed it also has a higher production of BUDS tokens (see image below).

OK, decision made!
I purchased 4 Colombian Gold seeds and spent a total of 236 BUDS tokens.

I planted the 4 Colombian Gold seeds in my 4 South American Lands

Each Colombian Gold seed has a germination period of 7 days and needs an amount of 560 tokens HKWATER

I purchased 2240 HKWATER tokens (560*4) from TribalDex(https://tribaldex.com/trade/HKWATER) and spent a total of 0.0672 SWAP.HIVE but before making the purchase I sold 200 BUDS tokens from which I got 0.08 SWAP.HIVE.

I went back to the Hashkings site and watered the seeds and now have to wait 7 days to make the next harvest.

To recap:

• from the harvest I got 1064 BUDS = 0.484 HIVE = $0.444
• I bought 4 Acapulgo Gold seeds and spent 236 BUDS = 0.107 HIVE = $0.098.
• I sold 200 BUDS and earned 0.08 HIVE.
• I bought 2240 HKWATER and I spent 0.0672 HIVE = 0.0616$ = 148 BUDS.

From the harvest I obtained a value of 0.484 HIVE = 0.444$.
To restart production I spent 0.174 HIVE = 0.159$.

I therefore obtained a profit of 0.31 HIVE = $0.284 in seven days.

I already have a self-sufficient farm because I get enough BUDS tokens from production to restart production without having to put external cash into the game.

How can I make my farm even more self-sufficient?

On Hashkings there are two mechanisms to get SEED NFT and HKWATER tokens without having to buy them from the market.

In fact by stacking MOTA tokens you can get SEED NFTs.
MOTA tokens can be obtained by burning BUDS tokens.

It is possible to get HKWATER tokens by buying a Water Tower card.

I will now evaluate the convenience or otherwise of purchasing a Water Tower and defer evaluation of the MOTA token stacking mechanism to a future post.

The Water Tower

The Water Tower is the card that allows you to get an amount of HKWATER tokens every day.

The Water Tower can have up to 10 levels and each level is marked by a precise daily production of HKWATER tokens (see image below).

The only way to buy a Water Tower card is to buy it from the marketplace at https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

In order to evaluate the convenience of buying a Water Tower card of a certain level, I have calculated the HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE ratio and the ANNUAL ESTIMATED ROI for each Water Tower card on the market today.

The HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE ratio indicates to me how many HKWATER tokens I get per day for each SWAP.HIVE token spent in purchasing a Water Tower card.

The Annual Estimated ROI indicates to me the percentage of return I should get in a year by purchasing a given Water Tower card.

As you can see from the calculations in the table above the best possible purchase at the moment is the Water Tower level 5 card and the worst possible purchase is the Water Tower level 1 card.

Why would I spend 7.48 SWAP.HIVE to buy a Water Tower Level 1 card that gives me an estimated annual return of 4.39% when I could use 7.48 SWAP.HIVE to do Power UP on Hive and get a return from voting activity on the Hive blockchain of around 10%.

The calculations in the table above show how important it is in any farming game to do the proper calculations before making a purchase.

For example if I buy a Water Tower card of level 8 I get 506 HKWATER tokens per day, spend 29.5 SWAP.HIVE and have an estimated annual ROI of 4.85%.

If I buy 2 Water Tower cards of level 5 I get 604 HKWATER tokens per day, spend only 25.6 SWAP.HIVE and get an estimated annual ROI of 25.84%.

I would spend even less and gain a higher estimated annual ROI if I bought a level 1 Water Tower card and upgraded to level 10.

In fact I would spend a total of $6.86 + $9 = $15.86 = 17.29 HIVE to get 642 HKWATER tokens every day.
In this case the **estimated annual ROI would be 40.66% but I can't do that because my current level in the Hashkings game is 0 and to upgrade to level 10 a Water Tower card requires level 90 game (XP) and in my situation I consider it more profitable to buy a higher level Water Tower card than to wait for my game level to increase.

The best possible purchase at the moment is therefore the Water Tower level 5 card because an estimated annual ROI of 25.84% is a good ROI.
But for the moment I decided to wait to buy a WATER TOWER card and I will buy it when I will find a market value that will assure me a ROI higher than 30%.

Obviously the value of the ROI that I have calculated in my table is an estimated value because it is obtained from the current values of the tokens SWAP.HIVE and HKWATER and could vary in the future, for better or worse, with the variation of the values of the tokens themselves.

Conclusion

I have been a Hashkings player for less than 30 days but I like Hashkings especially because it has a very large game economy and there are many aspects and investment evaluations that can be made.

In my previous posts on Hashkings I showed how to choose the best NFT combination to start playing and how to perform Harvest operations.
Today I showed how to evaluate the purchase of a Water Tower card based on its level, market cost and based on the estimated annual ROI.

Ho iniziato la mia avventura ludica e di investimento su Hashkings l'8 febbraio 2022.
Lo stesso giorno ho scritto una breve introduzione al gioco, ho condiviso la scelta dei miei primi acquisti (carte Land e carte Seed) e ho spiegato anche i motivi delle mie scelta (ROI annuale stimato).

Oggi voglio continuare a condividere la mia esperienza su Hashkings e voglio anche condividere le mie considerazioni su un preciso NFT presente nel gioco di Hashkings: la Water Tower.

La mia attività di gioco

Per iniziare a giocare ad Hashkings è necessario fare un investimento iniziale che consiste nell'acquisto di una combinazione di NFT insieme ad un minimo quantitativo di token HK Water (fungibile token):

1 Avatar + 1 Land + 1 Seed + HKWATER tokens

Il mio investimento iniziale è stato di 10.536 token SWAP.HIVE con i quali ho acquistato:

Oggi ho eseguito l'operazione di Harvest dalle mie quattro carte Land e ho ottenuto un totale di 1064 token BUDS.

Oggi 5 marzo 2022 1064 token BUDS valgono 0.484 HIVE = 0.444$

Il primo obiettivo da raggiungere che mi sono posto su Hashkings è di rendere la mia fattoria autosufficiente.

Saranno sufficienti 1064 token BUDS per far ripartire la produzione e quindi saranno sufficienti per acquistare 4 semi e l'acqua occorrente?

Scopriamolo insieme.

Nelle mie Land South America è possibile piantare due tipi di semi:

• Panama Red
• Acapulco Gold

Le Land sono NFT "duraturi" che possono essere usati continuamente.
Gli NFT di tipo SEED sono elementi "consumabili", possono essere utilizzati solo una volta e possono essere acquistati da https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

Gli NFT di Hashkings possono essere acquistati utilizzando diversi metodi di pagamento e in base al metodo di pagamento utilizzato il prezzo di acquisto può variare anche di molto.

Tra i Semi Panama Red e Colombian Gold il miglior acquisto è risultato il seme Colombian Gold se acquistato con i token BUDS.

Ho scelto di acquistare il seme Colombian Gold perchè oltre ad avere un prezzo inferiore al seme Panama Red ha anche una produzione maggiore di token BUDS (vedi immagine seguente).

OK, decisione presa!
Ho acquistato 4 semi Colombian Gold ed ho speso in totale 236 token BUDS

Ho piantato i 4 semi Colombian Gold nelle mie 4 Land South America

Ogni seme Colombian Gold ha un periodo di germogliazione di 7 giorni e ha bisogno di un quantitativo di 560 token HKWATER

Ho acquistato 2240 token HKWATER (560*4) da TribalDex(https://tribaldex.com/trade/HKWATER) e ho speso in totale 0.0672 SWAP.HIVE ma prima di effettuare l'acquisto ho venduto 200 token BUDS da cui ho ottenuto 0.08 SWAP.HIVE.

Sono tornato sul sito di Hashkings e ho innaffiato i semi e adesso devo aspettare 7 giorni per fare il prossimo raccolto.

Ricapitolando:

• dal raccolto ho ottenuto 1064 BUDS = 0.484 HIVE = 0.444 $
• ho acquistato 4 semi Acapulgo Gold e ho speso 236 BUDS = 0.107 HIVE = 0.098$
• ho venduto 200 BUDS e ho guadagnato 0.08 HIVE
• ho acquistato 2240 HKWATER e ho speso 0.0672 HIVE = 0.0616$ = 148 BUDS

Dal raccolto ho ottenuto un valore di 0.484 HIVE = 0.444$
Per far ripartire la produzione ho speso 0.174 HIVE = 0.159$

Ho quindi ottenuto un profitto di 0.31 HIVE = 0.284$ in sette giorni.

Ho quindi già una fattoria autosufficiente perchè dalla produzione ottengo un quantitativo di token BUDS sufficienti per far ripartire la produzione senza dover immettere liquidità esterna nel gioco.

Come posso rendere ancora più autosufficiente la mia fattoria?

Su Hashkings ci sono due meccanismi per avere NFT di tipo SEED e token HKWATER senza doverli necessariamente acquistare dal mercato.

Infatti mettendo in stacking i token MOTA è possibile ottenere gli NFT SEED.
I token MOTA possono essere ottenuti bruciando i token BUDS.

E' possibile ottenere i token HKWATER comprando una carta Water Tower.

Nel seguito di questo post valuterò la convenienza o meno di acquistare una Water Tower e rimanderò ad un prossimo post la valutazione del meccanismo di stacking dei token MOTA.

La Water Tower

La Water Tower è la carta che permette di ottenere un quantitativo di token HKWATER ogni giorno.

La Water Tower può avere fino a 10 livelli e ogni livello è contraddistinto da una precisa produzione giornaliera di token HKWATER (vedi immagine seguente).

L'unico modo per acquistare una carta Water Tower è comprarla dal mercato del sito https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm

Per valutare la convenienza o meno dell'acquisto di una carta Water Tower di un determinato livello ho calcolato il rapporto HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE e il ROI Stimato Annuale per ogni carta Water Tower presente oggi sul mercato.

Il rapporto HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE mi indica quanti token HKWATER ottengo al giorno per ogni token SWAP.HIVE speso nell'acquisto di una carta Water Tower.

Il ROI stimato annuale mi indica la percentuale di ritorno che dovrei ottenere in un anno acquistando una determinata carta Water Tower.

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli prensenti nella tabella precedente il miglior acquisto possibile al momento è la carta Water Tower di livello 5 mentre il peggior acquisto possibile è la carta Water Tower di livello 1.

Perchè dovrei spendere 7.48 SWAP.HIVE per comprare un carta Water Tower di livello 1 che mi dà un ritorno stimato annuale del 4.39% quando potrei utilizzare 7.48 SWAP.HIVE per fare Power UP su Hive e ottenere un ritorno dall'attività di voto sulla blockchain di Hive di circa il 10%.

I calcoli nella tabella precedente mostrano quanto sia importante in un qualsiasi gioco di farming fare i dovuti calcoli prima di fare un acquisto.

Ad esempio se compro una carta Water Tower di livello 8 ottengo 506 token HKWATER al giorno, spendo 29.5 SWAP.HIVE e ho un ROI stimato annuale del 4.85%.

Se compro 2 carte Water Tower di livello 5 ottengo 604 token HKWATER al giorno,spendo solo 25.6 SWAP.HIVE e ottengo un ROI stimato annuale del 25.84%.

Spenderei ancora meno e otterrei un ROI stimato annuale superiore se comprassi una carta Water Tower di livello 1 e facessi l'upgrade al livello 10.

Infatti spenderei in totale 6.86$ + 9$ = 15.86$ = 17.29 HIVE per avere 642 token HKWATER ogni giorno.
In questo caso il ROI stimato annuale sarebbe del 40.66% ma non posso farlo perchè il mio livello attuale nel gioco di Hashkings è 0 e per fare l'upgrade fino al livello 10 di una carta Water Tower è richiesto il livello 90 di gioco (XP) e nella mia situazione considero più profittevole acquistare una carta Water Tower di un livello più alto che aspettare che il mio livello di gioco aumenti.

Il migliore acquisto possibile al momento è quindi la carta Water Tower di livello 5 perchè un ROI stimato annuale del 25.84% è un buon ROI.
Ma io per il momento ho deciso di aspettare per acquistare una carta WATER TOWER e la comprerò quando troverò un valore di mercato che mi assicuri un ROI superiore al 30%.

Ovviamente il valore del ROI che ho calcolato nella mia tabella è un valore stimato perchè ottenuto dai valori attuali dei token SWAP.HIVE e HKWATER e potrebbe variare in futuro, in meglio o in peggio, con il variare dei valori degli stessi token.

Conclusione

Sono un giocatore di Hashkings da meno di 30 giorni ma Hashkings mi piace soprattutto perchè ha un'economia di gioco davvero molto vasta e sono molti gli aspetti e le valutazioni di investimento effettuabili.

Nei miei precedenti post su Hashkings ho mostrato come scegliere la migliore combinazione NFT per iniziare a giocare e come effettuare le operazioni di Harvest.
Oggi ho mostrato come valutare l'acquisto di una carta Water Tower in base al suo livello, al costo di mercato e in base al ROI annuale stimato.

Nel mio prossimo post valuterò la funzionalità e la profittabilità dell'attività di stacking dei token MOTA.
