Starting small

I have seen a lot of people with great ideas, great talents and amazing abilities but their lives do not look like what they carry.

I have been with a friend who can tell everything about how to start up a business and be successful but the guy is without a job and still dependent. I took courage one of those days and asked why he hasn't started anything yet even though he has the skills and knowledge and he laughed and replied “I do not have the kind of money I want for starting up a business yet.”

The majority of people think that to be successful one has to begin from somewhere big. Probably, start with millions of dollars, have beautiful structures and so on. Yes, for some people, it happens that way but for others it didn't start that way. Most of the successful people out there didn't become successful in one day.

A lot of them didn't begin from where they are today. In fact, some of them only started with faith, dreams and little resources. At some point they felt like giving up but they held on and we are celebrating them today.

Most of the people in the world today think they are unlucky and life is against them because they don't have much to start, not knowing that they have all they need to begin and become successful, they are the ones holding themselves back.

We do not have to start big, that is the problem with many people. They are ignorant of the fact that everything in life begins from small.

I'll give an example, the seed we sow in our farm, before they are buried most of them look so little, so insignificant that even the sower just buries them without much expectations but give it sometime and it will germinate and from there, yield something beautiful if given the proper attention. There is this quote I love a lot: “little drops of water make an ocean.” For most people they think you need to have it big before it becomes meaningful but that's a wrong mentality.

That idea of having it much before starting has kept a lot of people from reaching their goals and achieving their dreams in life
Someone wants to start a business and he/she is scared to start with a little capital because he/she feels if they don't have a big place people would laugh or mock them.

I remember sometime ago my elder sister told us she wanted to start a poultry farm, but she was not having money to raise a structure and to buy enough chicks. My mother encouraged her to start small, and she began with five birds in one of the empty rooms in her house.

Today, she has over three poultry farm. Recently she was telling me how she hoped to expand the place with time.
That thing that is telling you that you must be a professional or have everything in place before you start is actually the reason why you are stuck in life.

Life will never give the perfect condition to strike, you have to give it a shot the way you are and with what you have at the moment.

What is that thing you want to achieve in life and you feel you are not having enough yet or not ready? I assure you there won't be any time you are ever ready like right now and they way you are.

Start it now, start small, keep it going and keep accumulating it. Before you know it, you would be amazed at what you would become and if eventually your little didn't gather up into many, I think, it was still worth the effort and there is nothing wrong with trying again.
