ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #163: Tour of the Bedroom - A Glimpse into My Friend’s Cozy Condo and Our Unforgettable Overnight

Since my own room is, well, let's just say a "work in progress" right now, I decided to give you a peek into my friend's (my old colleague) bedroom instead.

My old co-workers and I had a much-needed get-together and spent an amazing overnight at my friend's condo unit. We hadn't seen each other for a long time, so catching up was long overdue. By the way, I asked her permission to take photos around her unit after my old co-workers left to go to work. I told her that I wanted to make her bedroom as an inspiration because it’s so beautiful and amazing! ✨ So now, let’s take a tour >>

Stepping into her place, you immediately feel this cozy, aesthetic, and calming vibe. The white walls and brown tiled floor create a clean, minimalist backdrop, while touches of gray from the Korean blinds and comfy gray sofa add to the sophisticated feel. The air is always fresh, and a pleasant lavender scent from her automatic spray humidifier fills the room, which instantly helps you relax. The tricolor modern chandelier ceiling light adds to the contemporary feel, and the cool air from the air-conditioner just completes the comfort.

What really caught my attention, and what I absolutely love, is the neon light signage with "alapaap" written in Tagalog, meaning "high clouds." It glows a beautiful cyan when lit, casting this dream-like glow, especially when the main lights are off. It instantly elevates the room's aesthetic and makes you feel incredibly calm.

There’s also a white desk with a comfy black office chair and a big closet beside the bed. Above the mirror, there's also a simple yet impactful aesthetic black poster printed with "Que Sera Sera" in white, which adds a nice philosophical touch.

This space is incredibly well-thought-out. There's a comfy gray sofa with brown pillows, perfect for lounging. Beside the sofa, there’s a super practical bar counter with two black bar stools. This is another favorite feature of mine! 💖 It’s so smart because if you get hungry while chilling on the sofa, you can just hop over and eat your main meals there, keeping the main space (and especially the bed) neat. It’s super convenient ✨ She also has a snake plant beside the sofa (sorry, it’s quite cropped in the picture), bringing a little bit of nature indoors.

Right in front, a center table rests on a furry carpet, facing a flat-screen TV where you can watch on Netflix and chill. We definitely took advantage of that, catching up on movies and just unwinding. Besides movie marathons, we also tried her cute mini-Bluetooth karaoke with an owl design. After singing sessions, we also enjoyed some drinks and snacks, shared stories while we're drunk 'til we dropped. It was such a special night, full of genuine connections and happy memories. Since two of our friends took a sudden leave from work just to be with us, we didn't take our photos together to avoid any unnecessary workplace drama with toxic colleagues haha 😂 But believe me, the memories are perfectly engraved in our minds 💖

The unit itself is surprisingly quiet because it’s tucked away from the main road, behind another building. This gives it an even more secluded and peaceful vibe. And yes, the bathroom is sparkling clean too; a huge plus when you're staying overnight! ✨

This visit truly reminded me how important it is to have a space that nurtures you, whether it's your own or a friend's. It's more than just walls and furniture; it's a place where memories are made and where you can truly unwind.
