Chinatown Again… Just Stop For Something To Eat

Yes, Chinatown again . I dont know why but everytime I come here, somehow there is always something small that I end up remembering. Nothing really special , just another regular day to kill time .

We were around Chinatown Complex and there is really a lot of food around that area. I saw this Teh Tarik Curry House exactly around the conner near the complex ( i forget to take picture - maybe in next future post after i come here again ). Since prata with teh tarik is something very familiar, I just thought okay lah, this one easy. The menu got quite many things also, from normal prata, mushroom, cheese, tissue prata, biryani and few other meals, but I was not really looking for anything heavy.

The prata here was definitely more expensive compared to the prata near my house. I guess thats quite normal because this is a tourist spot, so even simple food also got slightly different price here . But still, from what I saw around that area, this was one of the cheaper option if you just want to sit down and eat something simple.

We ordered prata with curry and teh tarik. The food was okay, nothing crazy or something I would travel all the way here just to eat, but it was nice enough for that moment. The prata got some crispy part, inside still soft, and once dip with the curry it taste much better.

The teh tarik was nice too. I think what I enjoy more was just sitting there for awhile. Chinatown Complex was just across and people keep moving around, tourist, local people, bicycle passing, everyone doing their own thing. I was not rushing anywhere, so just sitting there, drinking teh tarik and watching the street was actually quite relaxing.

Sometimes when walking around Chinatown, I feel like I dont really need to find some big attraction or something special. Even stopping for a simple prata can become part of the day. The food was slightly expensive for what it is, especially when I compare it with the prata near my house, but I already expected that because of the location.

After we finish eating, we just continue walking again. Nothing dramatic happened, no amazing food discovery, no hidden gem story. Just a normal little stop in Chinatown, but somehow I still took quite many photos and now it become another small memory from this place.

Maybe that is why I keep coming back here.
