When my parents were clearing out a portion of the garden to prepare it for planting more veggies, we noticed that there were a bunch of plants and other trees. Among the trees was a pomelo tree.
I like this fruit. In one of the routes we take for walking or jogging, there's an area that has this pomelo tree, and it was bearing a lot of fruit. We were just passing by, but in my mind I wanted to have some. hahaha
And when we saw the pomelo tree in our garden, I was amazed! It was planted by our house's previous caretaker, and now our neighbor, Manang Lourdes. It so happened that she was there when my parents were clearing the area. I also had a 30-minute break from work at that time. So when we saw the pomelo tree, she told us about its story. My mom then told her that I love eating pomelo. hahaha
Then later that same day, she asked someone to pick the fruit and gave it to us.
We finally opened it today! :D

It wasn't the easiest to peel. Well, pomelos do have thick peelings, but this one is more deformed than usual, so it was a struggle. Thanks Papa for peeling it.

It was quite sweet, a little acidic... but it wasn't bitter. I love it... I enjoy eating this one pulp after another. I don't know why, but it's more enjoyable that way.
Also, I set the seeds aside because I want to plant them later on and grow more pomelo trees in the garden!
I really appreciate our kind neighbor, Nang Lourdes, for giving us this fruit. Cravings satisfied!!! and I won't be longingly looking at the pomelo fruit on our walks anymore. hahaha
I'll end this post here. Thanks for reading and see you around! Good night from this side of the world!
