Random Stuff this Month...

I ended up not writing anything for the past month again. I'm still trying to find my drive... Haha So for now, there are a couple of things I want to share based on some photos I have in my gallery.

Earlier this month, the volcano on the next island experienced a moderate explosive eruption, which triggered ashfall in some areas, including my place. It happened around half past seven in the morning, but I was still asleep at that time. I worked until 3 AM the night before, slept at almost 5 AM, and didn't wake up until around 11.

When I went out of my room, I was curious why it was dark and why all the windows and doors were closed. Then my mom told me there was an ashfall earlier that day. However, it had somewhat calmed down when I woke up, thanks to the strong wind in our area.

Despite that, though, I got curious and checked the sky outside, and it was still gray. The plants outside, especially this one with the huge leaves, caught some of the ashes from the volcano. It looked interesting.

I wore a mask when I went out just to be safe and didn't stay long. I just wanted to feed my curiosity at that time. The following days were rainy... There were acid rain warnings because of it, so we stayed home the whole time.

The next set of photos is from our garden...

Our cherry tomatoes' flowers are so pretty, aren't they? They're so tiny and have a nice yellow color. I took these photos a couple of weeks ago, but I checked them a few days ago, and there were more flowers. I just couldn't take a photo because I didn't have my phone when I was walking around the garden.

The other plant you see is our strawberry plant. Our landlady gave it to us. It originally just had one plant, but it's sprouting tiny plants, so my parents transferred them a few days back into separate pots. Now, we have four pots of strawberries.

My mom and I were able to taste them when our landlady gave us some fruit the last time we visited their house. It's a bit tiny, but sweet... and I like it. I hope our strawberries will bear fruit in the future. So far, they're looking pretty good.

This is the last image I took from my phone. It's the same place as in the first photo during the ashfall. Now, it's really bright and clear. The temperature these days has been a bit on the crazy side. On some days, it's hot and humid, but on other days it's rainy, windy, and really cool that I even wore a sweater. hahah Though I have a lower cold tolerance than most people. XD It's really comfy at night, though. The temperature is perfect for me even without an AC. If we still lived in the city, it would have been impossible to survive without one.

Anyway, I'll end this here for now. I guess I tend to write a lot once I start it... I'll arrange my schedule properly to write more again. I hope I'll find time to draw, too. See you around! (^^,)/

I'm glad everyone stayed safe during the ashfall. I amazed with your cherry tomato flowers and strawberry plants. I hope your strawberries grow well and give you lots of sweet fruits soon.
