Food Trip While Running Errands with My Father (^_^)v

Last Saturday, my father and I went to my DaMy's place to return the suit he borrowed, but we ended up bringing it back home because DaMy decided to give it to him. hahaha

Before heading home, we stopped by SM Seaside (a shopping mall) to buy some items. We also decided to have lunch there.

However, it slipped my mind that it was Saturday. There were a lot of people. It was already past twelve when we arrived, but there were still a lot of people at the food court, so I told my father that we should get the things we needed first before having lunch.

As we headed to the shop we intended to go to, a delicious smell caught our attention. It was the enticing smell of a freshly cooked rice cake (bibingka) with cheese.

My parents and I have eaten here before, and since there was an empty table, we decided to grab some to energize us while we did our errands.

We also ordered some drinks, so we had to wait for a bit. A few minutes later, we got our order.

We just ordered one rice cake each, then a chocolate drink for Papa and an iced coffee for me.

The coffee was too sweet for me, but it was ok since the bibingka was savory.

The bibingka was so fluffy and delicious that it melts in your mouth. The cheese on top of it made it even better! Well, cheese makes everything better! (Me and my love for cheese. haha)

The shop is located in the middle of the mall, and it could easily attract passersby with its enticing aroma. It's charming!

It's a bit pricy, but worth it. We bought a box of bibingka as "pasalubong" for Mama. She loves this one, so when I told her we ate at the shop, she jokingly whined. hahah I already planned on getting a box for her, and lucky for me, Papa paid for half of it. hahaha



At around 2 PM, we finally finished our errands, so we returned to the food court to grab some lunch.

This is my favorite shop to eat from at the food court. Papa and I both got beef teriyaki bowls and bottled water.

It's delicious and more affordable than other similar places. And another thing I like about this shop is that they use Japanese rice. I love their fluffy and slightly sticky rice. We mostly have brown rice at home for health reasons, so consider it a cheat day for both of us. haha

Gochisousama deshita! We devoured it! It was so good and I felt energized again after walking a lot.



Of course, we bought some shrimp tempura for takeout. It's Mama's favorite from Tokyo Joe's. She loves shrimp, but since I'm allergic, she hardly cooks it at home. The only chance she gets to have it is when we eat out.

We stopped by one more place before heading home. I just wanted to do some window shopping and was looking for art materials in a less crowded place, as the usual store I buy them from was full of people. The new school year has just started, so many students are shopping for school supplies.

And guess what? I didn't get to buy anything, but Papa did. hahaha And I'll leave that for another story!
