Chilling Under the Mango Tree... XD

Hello friends...
These days, having power outages has been the new norm. It's unfortunate, but it could have been worse, right? It mostly lasts for about an hour or two. The problem is, we don't know exactly when it will happen. They do announce the schedule on social media, but they can be very late or inaccurate.

It usually occurs in the afternoon, around 2-10 PM... It's the time frame when I open my classes; however, it could be a problem if it happened in the middle of my class. Because of that, I switched to working the night shift. I'm still readjusting my body clock, so last week I ended my classes at around 5 AM or 6 AM at the latest.

It's another story if I have morning classes (personal regular classes), especially on the weekend. So, the night before, I'd have to sleep early and readjust again. I don't mind doing it, though.

Actually, I'm a night owl, so I find it easier to stay up all night rather than wake up early to work. I'd be in total zombie mode when I do that. hahah

In our area, we usually get power outages from 4-6 PM. However, there are times when it changes... like the other day. At that time, we had an earlier schedule, which was from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's tougher around this time because the sun is still up, and usually the temperature these days reaches more than 30 degrees Celsius.

So when it happened, my family and I went out and stayed outside under the mango tree, where it's the windiest and most comfortable.

It's hot, but we're in the shade, and the wind is so good. It's mainly because the area at the back is open. And the wind comes from that area, especially in the afternoon.

This area is behind our garage or store. This was also the place where we played basketball, and I hurt my ankle a couple of months ago. hahaha Can you spot the makeshift basketball ring attached to one of the coconut trees? haha

Anyway, we stayed here for the entirety of the power outage, just talking and chilling. We also ate iced candy for extra refreshment. I don't mind having power outages; I just hope there's a better way for them to tell us the accurate schedule ahead of time.

But then again, I really hope it goes back to normal soon. This situation makes our bills more expensive, too. And given the cost of living these days, it's tough even when you're in the countryside.

Anyway, let's still be grateful. Thanks for the mango tree and the comfy wind... thanks to the wonderful family that keeps us company. Let's be grateful for all the little things in life. :)

Thanks for reading, and see you around! I'll have to take a nap to get ready for my night shift later... and I wonder if there'll be a power outage today. Yesterday was just for an hour. haha Take care! (^^,)/

Thats the kind if hassle that I will never get use to. Its annoying pero walang magagawa talaga. Maigi lang samin basta sinabing ganitong oras, nasuaunod naman, minsan maaga pa ng ilang minuto. Pero not all the time syempre. We experiences this nong grabi ang init at parang gamit na gamit ang power. No choice eh. Aigoooo. Pero may maganda din namang dulot ang ganito diba. Esp once malowbat na mga gadgets uwu
