Freshly Picked Papaya, A perfect Match for Chicken

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great day while reading my post. Today is a rainy day here in the Philippines, a perfect weather to sip some hot soup. And just in time, my sister called me and asked me to pick some papaya because they caught some native chicken that we can have for lunch.

My father has a lot of native chicken so we can just catch them whenever we want to. And so as my sister asked I went to get some papaya, good thing I have a tree just at the back of our house

This is a native papaya, they may be small but it bears a lot of fruit, this has many branches since I cut it when it was still small that's why it grew more branches

I can easily reach for the fruit since the branches grew side ways. I picked the fruits that are already matured, it has a dark green color. The matured one are tastier when adding it to any soup dishes.

Before sending it to my sister, I peeled it first so that she will just add it into her dish. I just need to peel and remove the seeds to remove the bitter taste.

After cleaning it , I asked my niece to bring it to her mother. Our house is a little bit far so we need to walk a little to go there.

At lunch time , we went down to my sisters house, and just in time the chicken soup with papaya is already cooked.

It's a perfect meal for a rainy weather, and the best thing about it is all the ingredients just came from the yard. It's tastier since they are all fresh , from the meat to the vegetable used.

And we had our lunch with the whole family which made this meal even more enjoyable.

And I guess that's it for now. Thanks for dropping by.
Have a good day, see you in the next one!

We would never pick papaya that is not ripe and we only pick it when the color change and also ripe. I also think putting papayas in a food is also great because the flavor will blend to the food that you cook.

Try the papaya adobo brother, it's also a good dish for raw papaya.

Papaya was indeed an excellent recipe for cooking Tinola! It's one of my favorite dishes!
