"Unexpected Invitation On Kindergarten School Activities"

It was unexpected moment I had yesterday because my Elder Sister told me to joined School activities. My main activity I should do was to visit my Grandma but my planned was not done according to plan because I must go at the School Kindergarten to assist cooking food for the children since it was feeding day. The time schedule was exactly 8 in the morning and even if the children don't have classes, still the feeding activity is on going. I arrived at School at exactly 7 in the morning and noticed that the person who already arrived at School are all Mothers. But I kept myself calm doing the right thing to do. We still waiting for the time for the teacher to arrived and a moment later the teacher finally arrived.

The Menu about the food for School feeding was already set and the best thing to do is to gathered the ingredients. Gladly there are some who knows how to cook the dish they want to give for feeding activities. The first thing I did was to gathered the ingredients from the wooden cabinet and started to placed at the top of the table so they can easily reach anytime when they need. This was my very first time to help assisting others about the said activities and it was very fun and enjoyable. We did our tasks very well so that the activity will be done on time.

Each Mother have their tasks and I also kept myself busy gathering firewoods because the main problem here are firewoods. Luckily there are lots of firewoods at the back of the School area and I easily brought inside at the Dirty kitchen. The teacher was also very busy doing preparing the teaching materials and checking the ingredients if it is completed. The Local Government always gives lots of foods and ingredients for feeding activity everyday. The teacher checked those items if there are still plenty so she can requested again for another set of items given. Auditing and documenting are the most important so there will have a transparency regarding with the activities.

I also kept myself busy cooking rice, luckily the firewoods are very dry. It was already 9 in the morning when we still continued our obligations and aside of cooking, arranging the School materials must also done. I felt worried about it because I don't have any experienced to cook lots of rice using this big pot and it might be uncooked or overcook maybe. But I did my best to cook the rice very well and the things I did was to balance the heat from fire and maintain the heat. I also measuring the water and the grains before cooking it so it will perfectly cooked. After almost an hour, I felt very nervous the time when I opened the pot and decided to tasted the rice and I felt very happy because it was cooked very perfectly.

This are foods we cooked for feeding activities, and it takes almost two hours before we finally done it. Not all of the children here are Christian that is why we also cooked chicken dish for those who don't want to eat pork. I really amazed of the Mothers about doing their best to grab their roles and doing their obligations very well. After that, we also brought lots of cellophanes so we can start packing it. But before packing it, we let the foods cool.

As the food are already cool, we started to packed it and placed in this clean plastic basket. The teacher also checked the names and number of children listed so we can packed food according to the numbers of children. It takes almost two hours of packing and the teacher started to message using group chat so everyone can read about the food ready to claim. It was successfully ended and the teacher was very thankful for us for our cooperation about the activities.
