A Busy Day Preparing For The Bad Weather Happens

Today, early in the morning I went at the near store to buy a sachet of powdered milk and coffee. Drinking hot of coffee is what I always did every morning so it can make myself more relaxing and feel warm. This store opens early in the morning and they sell lots of coffee. It was 4 in the morning when I reached the place not quite far from our new house. Gladly they sell lots of products and items and I can easily brought the products I want instead of traveling to the market a quite distant from our house.

After eating the breakfast, I started to prepared the things in case if there is a heavy rain happens. One of this are putting this big pails at the areas where lots of pouring water flows due to rain. It is nice to store lots of water from the rain and can be used to water the plants when intense heat happens. Gladly I have lots of big empty pails to use and it is ready to filled it with lots of water in case if the heavy rains happens due to a typhoon. This is what I always did everytime when there is a heavy rains happens.

Before continuing the preparedness activities I did, I also put this flowering plants I have here. This is the first time to have this kind of flowers and I was very happy to see this. I decided to tied it in the madre de cacao tree very tight so it wont blown away when strong winds happens by next day. This is a kind of orchids plants and it is good to put and plant at the big trunk without using soil on it instead coconut husks is the best.

The next thing I did was to placed this big pieces of rocks in the nets to my garden so it wont be destroyed. This can be helpful so that even strong winds cannot be blown nets. Aside of that, the bih rocks is also served as the base so the soil wont be collapsed where my vegetable plants planted. I carefully arranged and pile the rocks and peebles on each side of the garden where the nets placed.


I carefully placed large planks at the rooftop so plainsheets wont flew away when the winds happens. This is what we always do every time when typhoon came or passing here in our place. Our neighbors also do the same including nailing few plain sheets at the roof top. It was already cloudy skies but later, it went sunny again. Since our place here is near at the shore and coastal areas, strong winds will be expected to happen.

Every typhoon takes few days before went away, so it needs to out a simple drier clothes inside of the house. Using this cable wires, I started to tied few meters of it near at the rooftop so I can dry and hang my clothes even if there is a few days heavy rain. As I finished doing it, I hanged my clothes there. It is safe from getting wet from rains.

I put the important documents and papers we have here in one big plastic envelope before placing inside of the bag including few clothes, flashlights and batteries. Medicines are also include and also wistles. Bag packs and sling bags are ready and well prepared anytime when there is a force evacuation happens during the typhoons.

After preparing the things, I also take a delicious snacks. A banana fritter and boiled ripe bananas. This is a perfect snacks even if I felt very tired Of my work preparing the things. It takes almost a day of work the preparedness is already done. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
