The sun rose over our small village, signaling a special day. My wedding day. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness in my chest, a blend of joy and fear.
My bridesmaids, my childhood friends, and not just friends but also my cousins and sisters, were chatting and laughing as they fixed my hair. Their presence gave me strength, reminding me that I wasn't alone on this day.
When it was time for the ceremony, I walked towards the church. My father and mother escorted me, holding my arm tightly. When I saw my husband-to-be at the altar, it felt like the world stopped. His eyes sparkled with joy, and his smile warmed my heart.
Our vows were simple but full of love and promises. Every word came from our hearts, expressing our love for each other. Tears streamed down my face, not out of sadness, but out of overwhelming happiness and gratitude.
I knew I was still young, and I knew my parents were sad because I was going to be separated from them and start my own family.
After the Mass, we took pictures with our family, including our godparents, relatives, and our parents. After that, we went home, and I didn't expect that when we arrived, even though we lived far from the highway and had to pass through rice fields, it was very difficult because I was pregnant. But I was surprised when my husband's uncle picked me up and carried me.
I was so scared at that time that I might miscarry, but by God's grace, we arrived home safely. This was the most memorable moment of my wedding, a tradition in our family.
When we arrived, we were given water to drink, and it was poured over us as a prayer. After that, we went to the reception.
The reception was held in our backyard, filled with people from our village. There was singing, dancing, and delicious food. Everyone was happy and celebrating with us. The stories and laughter reminded us of the simple beauty of life in the province.
After the meal, we were called to sit in the middle and dance. This is called "Gala-GALA" in our place, where godparents give you money. Holding my husband's hand, I felt the love and promise that bound us together. This day was not just a wedding day, but the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. A life filled with hope, love, and dreams that we would build together. And on this day, amidst the simple beauty of our village, I knew that a beautiful love story had begun.
We got married on April 8, 2021. I was 19 years old, and my husband was 24.
Now we are happy Married Life With a 1 CHILD β€οΈβ€οΈπ
