     This challenge is way late because my stepfather had a heart attack last week and has been in the hospital ever since. I have been splitting my time between the hospital and helping my mother while he is in rehab, so ASEAN Hive is a little behind schedule. Regardless, this challenge must go on, and it's red, so it should be simple enough. Find red things, take pictures, and share them with us.

     Of course a quality post is always much more than a bunch of pics smashed together. Weave a story and link your photos together to make for a more engaging post. I look forward to seeing all the reds you ASEAN Hivers can find and I am sorry for the delays. Things are slowly getting calmer each week here in the USA, but I know all too well there is no such thing as real "free time" here.

I grew up with my grandparents, and I am their favorite grandchild. that's why I'm really attached to them (My beloved lolo and lola in heaven) That’s probably why I can’t forget this dish, and I've learned how to cook it from my grandma. It’s called Pancit Guisado. My grandma and even my late mother used to cook this dish in different ways. So, this food is really nostalgic for me.

Now, let me share my favorite comfort food with you. I absolutely love salad; it’s my ultimate go-to for comfort. A whole medium-sized lettuce, an apple, carrots, and strips of cucumber, topped with tuna flakes and wrapped in seaweed—what a delightful meal for me!!! It's not just delicious, but also so healthy. Eating this makes me feel light and energized, and my digestive system is relaxed and happy too.

For me, I have lots of comfy foods - grilled chicken, dried fish (danggit with vinegar, chillies and garlic as dip), boiled sea shells with lots of ginger and onions during rainy or cold season, salad, pasta, some pick-a-veggies, fruits, desserts, and snacks. But the best among them? It’s the finger-licking boiled king crabs covered with pure coconut milk that savors my palate, and overloaded with chunky tomatoes, sweet and spicy bell peppers......
