It's already the last day of the Plant Series Challenge I've been enthusiastically doing. A massive thanks to @allyson19 for starting this. It has been a fun journey and practice for me.
Before I show the final drawing, let me share the drawings I made over the past four days.
🌱
For the concepts, we have these:
Day 1: The Plant
Day 2: The Place
Day 3: The Secret
Day 4: The Friend
And finally, for Day 5, it's The Discovery. The challenge is to draw someone or something who discovered the secret, and here's my take on it.
This cute ginger cat was out on a nightly walk after having its meal. While on his walk, he found something bright somewhere in the forest. Curious, we walked in the direction when a glowing pathway suddenly appeared.
He happily followed the path and ended up in the heart of the forest. He saw the kodama happily playing with the heart, so he approached them with a huge smile and a friendly gesture.
They all ended up having a fun night in the forest... dancing and playing! Since then, the ginger cat visits them every night. :)
That was the end of my version of Plant Stories... :) Now, I'm going to show you how I did the final drawing. :)
As you know, my canvas was already too full, so I just inserted it on a bigger canvas and continued with the drawing. :)
It was such a fun experience for me, so I hope you also enjoyed joining me on this journey. ^^ And of course, my post would be incomplete without the GIFs, so let's feast on them! hahaha
That ends my post... I hope to join more challenges in the coming days. It's really helpful for my practice. haha
Thanks for checking this post out! Until next time! (^^,)/
That is a beautiful recap of your five day artjournal Shei. I learned something new today and that is the tree spirit from the Japanese folklore called the kadama? correct me if I am wrong as I am doing this quick.
Thank you dear you are the first one to complete all prompts although this is not a contest but we do appreciate your time, dedication and passion despite your busy work schedule doing online class right?
One of the reasons for this challenge is to build your art portfolio or simply practice and develop your skills in drawing by doing daily scribbles. Later on you can go back to these drawings and maybe turn them into something else like a storybook or picturebook the possibility is endless. Great job.
Thank you so much... They're called kodama... I'm interested in Japanese folklore and spirits. There are a lot of them, and kodama is one of the cutest...
I really like the concept, and it was a good way to keep my motivation...
I drew them before going to bed after my classes, then post the day after. 😁✨ It was a fun way to get some practice and relax at the same time... :)
I just barely started with digital drawing, and your challenge was an awesome way to start! ✨🩵✨🩵✨🩵
oh that is cool to know and yes thanks it is kodama not kadama as I have previously written. Cheers.
