I met my friend for lunch in town last week and after lunch, we were walking around to window shop, and then we saw Bacha Coffee in the mall. My friend suggested to get coffee, and I remembered I had this exchange with @macchiata on Bacha Coffee. I always see them around but I haven't never tried, and I mentioned to her that I shall try them soon. And here we are!
Here's the Google location and review of this place.
Bacha Coffee portrays itself as an luxurious brand and you could tell it right away from the store front.
The "cheapest" coffee was SGD 8.50 (USD 6.30) and my friend suggested we take the coffee and croissant set, which cost SGD 10 (USD 7.40) because it's slightly more value for money. It's my first time here so I thought it was good to try their pastries too.
To be honest, the amount of the coffee bean types they had was amazing and I didn't know what I wanted. Fortunately, their staff were friendly and gave recommendations based on my preference. I wanted something more original, strong and less bitter, and they recommended me Mount Kenya Coffee.
As for the pastry choice, I thought the raspberry cinnamon croissant looked really good so I went for that!
While waiting for my coffee, I flipped over the order sheet and saw that they had even more types of coffee beans, and some were really, really expensive. There's coffee at SGD 142 (USD 105)!? Oh my.
Being a luxury brand, I was blown away with their package. For my SGD 10 (USD 7.40) order, they provided a bag for this.
Their receipt was kept in this shiny looking folder.
This was the bag for my croissant!
And this was my coffee! With a small tub of vanilla cream (made with vanilla beans)!
Most places would just pack their sugar in paper packets but of course Bacha Coffee decided to up their game and do it this way. It's interesting because this would act as both sugar and a stirrer too.
All in all, the serving size of the coffee wasn't big (it's probably similar to Tall size in Starbucks), but I enjoyed my coffee. The staff's recommendations based on my preference was spot on. If I were to visit Bacha Coffee, I would try another type of coffee beans to have a new experience.
As for the croissant, it was yummy and I liked that they had real raspberry in the croissant as well. It's not too expensive at SGD 3.50 (USD 2.60) since most cafes would have priced this similarly. They have many other flavours so I will probably return to try them.
I always thought Bacha Coffee was very expensive and it's not a place I would visit but that visit made me realise that their pricing was still relatively ok, especially the coffee plus croissant set. And their packaging, what can I say, it's just crazy amazing.
Overall, not bad for a first experience, and I would probably visiting them soon to try out other stuff on their menu, but not that 100 dollar coffee. :P

Yeah it's definitely considered pricey, but it's not too different from Starbucks or Coffee Bean here I feel. Am ok to splurge once in a while for an interesting experience. Hehe.

I really need to get back to this and when I showed this to a friend of mine, they told me I'd better do the bacha in SG because pricing wise in our girl math, it's the same 🤣rather than visiting the one in Indonesia, just visit the one in SG
Hehehe I see! Shall look forward to your experience too!
That experience you've got is lit! Thank you for sharing that.
Thanks for the kind words!
Wow what a nice cafe to explore. Looks fancy and so classy. It's been awhile since I've explored a new cafe. I know I'd love to try a place like this too. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I can imagine how good the coffee smells and tastes. LOL! Xin Nian Kuai Le. I hope you'll have a lovely lunar new year celebration.
