Arcade Colony Moonkarts: How SCRIPT, COLONY, FUEL, and game Assets make an interconnected system to fuel growth.

It looks nice that so many players are currently joining and playing the Moonkarts Kart racing game in the arcade colony platform. At present game supports 3 tokens i.e COLONY, SCRIPT, and the FUEL token. Colony and Script tokens are available on Hive-Engine but FUEL is not available outside the game but can be transferred between the players in the game. Currently no official interface is provided for trading FUEL but I spotted players are trading FUEL in discord on their mutual terms and prices.

1. What aspects of the game drive the demand for COLONY token?

COLONY is #play2earn token of the game and most of the game action helps you the earn COLONY tokens. So it looks like that game will be flooded with the COLONY tokens? Actually yse, if there are no proper sinks for the COLONY tokens. So to keep up with the demand of the COLONY tokens vs generation of COLONY token, game has created 2 sinks for the COLONY token.

a. Stake your COLONY token.

Interesting part of the game is that when you stake COLONY tokens, you do not get any "passive" rewards for it. Staking increases the "Play2earn" rewards of the players with a "multiplier" factor giving them an incentive to stake their earnings for more earnings in the future. Though staking does not remove the token from circulation but it does reduce the liquidity of token creating scarcity.

b. Burn/Convert your COLONY token.

Game also give option to convert or burn your COLONY token for SCRIPT token and conversion or burning of COLONY token will permanently remove the token from circulation.

Now you are wondering why someone burns COLONY to get SCRIPT? The reason is simple that at current scenario, this is the only way to get SCRIPT tokens.

2. What aspects of the game drive the demand for SCRIPT tokens?

a. To purchase from the game shop.

SCRIPT token concept is very similar to the DEC in splinterlands or GLUSD in Goalgenesis league game, It is accepted at $1 peg for all in-game purchases from Game Shop so if they are discount in the market, you will get discount in purchasing items from game shop using SCRIPT.

b. Stake it for FUEL generation.

If you want to generate FUEL. then you need to stake SCRIPT token for it. I already mentioned this whole process in my post Arcade Colony: Step by step process to generate FUEL in Moonkarts

3. What aspects of the game drive the demand for FUEL tokens?

Now you might be wondering why you need FUEL? I think here the game team has done brilliant move as "burning" FUEL is required to take part in the multiplayer battle to earn "COLONY". Irrespective of the race results, whether you win or lose, you are bound to burn FUEL for taking part in the race. It makes a constant demand for the FUEL and FUEL demand increases proportionally to the gear/accessories/tech upgrade cards equipped in the Kart. So more you are determined to climb the Leaderboard, more FUEL you will be burning overall.

4. And of course you need game assets.

It is common understanding that you need game assets to play the game but what if you need game assets apart from playing the game?

Earlier when we talked about the utility of SCRIPT token to generate the FUEL token, player need to stake the game assets +SCRIPT token to generate FUEL. so player need both active game assets (for playing game) and passive game assets (to generate FUEL) in the game.
Now if you observe closely, this is so well-knitted tokenomics that one thing leads to the other and actively encourages player to get involved in the ecosystem to earn more. In my opinion, all the team needed is the game enhancement,bug fixes and keep fun level in the game intact, so that it constantly attracts new players while retaining it's old players. To be honest this is really a factor that game is still going strong even after one year of the launch.
