Hello Splinter Fanatics

Splinterlands has been one of my favorite games since mid-2021. The goal of strengthening my collection motivates me to play almost daily — in addition, of course, to the fun the game provides. Since then, Splinterlands has undergone many changes, evolving from a game with few cards, restricted to the old ALPHA and BETA editions, to a game with editions as far as the eye can see.

With this evolution, the reward cards have also changed. Before, they were “liquid”: when you earned them, you could sell them immediately on the market. However, due to an inflation problem in the game's economy, this ceased to exist. Then came the Reward Soulbound cards, which are stuck in your collection unless you pay a fee in DEC to release them and put them up for sale.

More recently, a new collection was introduced: the Foundations edition. It can be obtained initially by playing Campaign mode, which starts out simple but becomes increasingly challenging, requiring strategy and skill from the player. In addition to teaching beginners how to play, this mode offers “liquid” cards, which can be sold at any time.

However, these cards also allow players to participate in a new format: Frontier mode, in which only cards from the Foundations edition can be used. I particularly loved this mode, as it reminds me of the old days of Splinterlands. In this format, players face each other with almost equal cards, and what really makes the difference is the strategy adopted by each player.

This has been one of my favorite modes in Splinterlands, because every five wins you can claim and win random cards from this new collection. And with each league the player advances, the more cards the player is entitled to claim. I myself am in Silver League II and am entitled to 3 cards and 2 entries into a weekly raffle.

Today, I finally reached Silver II league and won a prize of several chests with cards, energy, and potions. To my surprise, I managed to get my first legendary gold foil card.

Great Bear Druid is a legendary card from Splinter Neutral, which has two types of damage (melee and magic), but a slightly high mana cost. In many battles, it is present on the field due to these two attacks. In today's post, I will show you a battle in this new mode using this monster, which is a kind of secondary tank.

In this battle, the available Splinters were Water, Earth, and Life. The rulesets that were active were those that allow melee damage monsters to attack from any position to the first enemy position, and only Neutral Splinter monsters were allowed.

In the first round, you can see both players' lineups. Practically speaking, both lineups are similar, as there aren't that many cards available. It's almost possible to predict what your opponent's next move will be. The only thing that made a difference in this battle was the Archons. While I chose Water Splinter, my opponent chose Life.

While my opponent focused on protection with (+2) extra armor for all monsters due to Archon, I chose Water Splinter, where Archon increases magic damage by (+1). Two monsters were favored, and this was a nice advantage against my opponent's armor.

At the end of the battle, we managed to defeat the entire opposing team. This was thanks to the magic damage monsters, whose power was amplified by the archon. Great Bear Druid was a monster that made a big difference in this battle.

Since I already had this card at maximum level in regular foil, I put the foil gold card up for sale and hope it will be sold. In Frontier mode, gold cards have no advantages, but in other modes such as Modern or Lands, gold cards do have their advantages.

Olá Splinter Fanáticos

Splinterlands é um dos meus jogos favoritos desde meados de 2021. O objetivo de fortalecer minha coleção me motiva a jogar quase diariamente — além, é claro, da diversão que o jogo proporciona. Desde então, Splinterlands passou por muitas mudanças, evoluindo de um jogo com poucas cartas, restrito às antigas edições ALPHA e BETA, para um jogo com edições quase a perde de vista.

Com essa evolução, as cartas de recompensa (Rewards) também mudaram. Antes, eram “líquidas”: ao ganhá-las, era possível vendê-las imediatamente no mercado. Porém, devido a um problema de inflação na economia do jogo, isso deixou de existir. Surgiram, então, as cartas Reward Soulbound, que ficam presas à sua coleção, a menos que se pague uma taxa em DEC para liberá-las e colocá-las à venda.

Mais recentemente, uma nova coleção foi introduzida: a edição Foundations. Ela pode ser obtida inicialmente ao jogar o modo Campanha, que começa de forma simples, mas se torna cada vez mais desafiador, exigindo estratégia e habilidade do jogador. Além de ensinar os iniciantes a jogar, esse modo oferece cartas “líquidas”, que podem ser vendidas a qualquer momento.

Porém, essas cartas também permitem que o jogador participe de um novo formato: o modo Frontier, no qual só é permitido utilizar cartas da edição Foundations. Eu, particularmente, amei esse modo, pois ele me faz relembrar os velhos tempos de Splinterlands. Nesse formato, os jogadores se enfrentam com quase igualdade de cartas, e o que realmente faz a diferença é a estratégia adotada por cada um.

Esse tem sido um dos meus modos favoritos em Splinterlands, pois a cada cinco vitórias é possível reivindicar e ganhar cartas aleatórias dessa nova coleção. E a cada liga que o jogador avança, mas cartas os jogador tem direito de revindicar. Eu mesmo estou na Liga Prata II e tenho direito a 3 cartas e 2 entradas para um sorteio semanal.

Hoje, finalmente cheguei na liga prata II e com isso ganhei um prémio de vários baús com cartas, energia e porções. Para minha surpresa conseguir tira minha primeira lendária gold foil.

Great Bear Druid é uma carta lendária do Splinter Neutro, que possui dois tipos de dano (melee e mágico), porém um custo de mana um pouco alto. Em muita batalhas ele está presente no campo devido a esse dois ataques. No post de hoje, vou monstrar uma batalha nesse novo modo utilizando esse monstro, que é uma espécie de tanque secundário.

Nessa batalha os Splinters disponíveis foram Água, Terra e Vida. Os rulesets que estavam ativos foram o que permite que mosntros de dano melee ataquem de qualquer posição a primeira posição inimiga, além disso apenas mosntros do Splinter Neutro eram permitidos.

Na primeira rodada é possível ver a escalação de ambos os jogadores. Praticamente, a escalação de ambos é analoga, pois não ha tantas cartas disponiveis. É quase possível prever qual será a possível jogada do oponente. O que fez a diferença nessa batalha foi apenas os Archons, enquanto eu escolhi o Splinter Água meu oponente escolheu Vida.

Enquanto meu opoennte focou em proteção com (+2) de armadura extra a todos os monstros devido o Archon. Eu escolhi o Splinter Água, onde a archon aumenta em (+1) o dano mágico. Dois monstros foram favorecidos e isso foi uma bela vantagem frente a aramdura do oponente.

Ao fim da batalha, conseguimos derrotar todo o time oponente. Graças aos monstros com dano mágico, que tiveram seu poder ampliado graça ao archon. Great Bear Druid foi um monstro que fez bastante diferença nessa batalha.

Como eu já tinha essa carta em nível máximo em folha regular. Coloquei a venda a carta foil gold espero que seja vendida. No modo Frontier cartas douradas não tem nenhuma vantagens, mas em outros modos como no Moderno ou nas lands cartas douradas tem suas vantagens.
