Story based games on Blockchain
Games play a very important role in the future of blockchain tech. Many games are going to be on Blockchain making use of the features of blockchains. We need more big companies to get involved and create games on Blockchain. Some games are already in development and some games are thinking about entering the web3 space. When it comes to games, people look for fun elements and they don't usually look for a facility to earn by playing games. But games on blockchain provide that facility by integrating with crypto.
A game can create tokenomics for themselves and reward the players for playing the game. Sometimes normal games are misunderstood as gambling games but there are also RNG elements in the game usually the rewarding experience is something different. The tokenomics is created in such a way that the distribution of tokens is based on demand and supply. Usually in gambling, one person has to lose for another person to win. In blockchain games with tokenomics, that need not be the case. There will be a self-sustaining token system that can reward the players based on the demand and supply.
Obtain tradable items along the storylines
When it comes to story-based games, can be made in such a way that the players can obtain items when they continue with the storyline of the game. Those items that are collected from the game can be traded with other players inside the game. This way it makes it more interactive and an economy is created inside the game. People who wish to have a huge collection can invest more money and increase the value of an item inside the game. This is how story-based games introduce an earning opportunity in the game.
Player interactions
Player interaction in such games is an important aspect. The main reason is because the choices the players make can change the outcome of the game and make it more lively and interesting for the players. Sometimes making a different decision inside the game may not give fortune to the players. But when they continue to play they might get another fortune somewhere else. This is the best aspect of a blockchain game.
One player's interaction with another player's gameplay can also make decisions change. Other players can get some scores and items inside the game with other player interaction in the multiplayer mode. The amount of time a player spends inside the game determines how many items they can get in the game and how they can trade those items for some real money. These are all handled by the tokenomics created for the game.
Collectable NFTs in the Lore
Some story fragments can also be made a collectible NFT. Earlier people were okay to collect NFTs that have no big value but do mean something inside the game. But these days after the previous bull run, people are a bit concerned about the type of NFTs they are collecting. There is no purpose to hold a particular NFT, people are careful. In the last bull run especially when the craze for collectible NFTs was high, people invested a lot of money in collecting those NFTs. These days they don't value much and they are sitting on the accounts as good for nothing.

I'd say a vast majority of games have no real story behind them anymore otherwise known as lore. That's what often made games great and memorable. However it's expensive with normally not enough turn around to make it worth all of the extra effort. It's why it was mainly abandoned by almost all gaming companies.
Yes I agree. I remember playing a lot of story based games too. Today people love games that give instant fun that's all.
Come to think of this... I jumped back on a lot of blockchain games recently... I think I should revisit the Sandbox as well! It's been quite sometime! That place is probably abandoned now😅🤣
