Lazy Saturday: A Maple Twist / Reblog Lottery DUO Bonus

Times have been hard and I have not been hiving very much engagment is at an all time low, so I will be taking advantage of the lazy Saturday, will I ever get back on ? only time will tell.

In this post I share a 3d design I made and printed a little while back, It's a Maple leaf with a twist, I made to be printed in spiral contour mode where in the printer only makes one pass wall with a continues spiral motion.

I made the model in a software called Fusion 360 it was fairly easy to make I brought in a picture of a maple and I extruded it with a twist, the model is fully solid however when spiral contour mode is enabled the code for the printer will only print one outer wall.

I used some red silk PLA and it came out fairly nice the twisting and the geometry makes it fairly sturdy and I will be sticking up on my wall with double sided tape eh.
