How goes everyone in this post I share an update on my 3d printed fender...

11 days ago I shared my story about trying to make a replacement fender in a post here

If you seen that post you may be thinking hey that looks like the one you shared already and you would somewhat be right, it's very similar the difference is the bottom layer is a little thicker.

I think the design that I shared before this one was fine but the screw holes got stripped and they didn't hold it properly, as I rode I had to hold my foot on the fender to prevent it from rubbing on the tire, however when I got home I noticed I snapped it from using my foot.

So I printed another with a slightly thicker bottom and I had to drill out a bigger screw holes and thread them, I also used some hot glue again just to be safe.

And so far it has been holding up pretty well and every time I ride it gives me joy knowing I won, however that is not certain quite yet there are still some challenges my fender needs to pass to be a true win.

For the true win conditions it must be able to not break during the Canadian cold as plastic becomes more brittle when cold and for it to last more than the batteries and that would maybe be another year or so.

11 days ago I mentioned if this fails I would just have to buy a new scooter and I wasn't joking my 3d DIY repair ended up costing me about 200 dollars not counting the time I spend so it's tough calling this an economical fix however it was a challenge and so far I have seem to overcome and that feels good.
