Lil computer troubles/ Reblog Lottery DUO Bonus

A bit over 2 weeks ago I shared a post about me running into issues with a mini computer I was getting to keep my hive usages on a dedicated machine for security purposes as on top of having my own account to keep safe I also am part responsible for keeping a community account safe.

Anyway so I ordered a 8 inch laptop on Amazon it was a bit expensive and fairly slow but I did not even get to use it much it was dead ish on arrival.

What I mean by deadish was the screen was dead, I plugged it into HDMI and it was working but not the actual screen so I send it back.

I ended up ordering an alternative directly from China this time around half he price and a bit smaller coming in at 7 inchs

Well it works be it super slow you may say well it is a small computer what do you expect well .. better 10 years ago I had a 4.8 inch laptop windows 7 touch screen, built in GPS and guess what it worked a lot better.

But it is not even about that this thing came damaged due to poor package design

Right bellow is how it was packed with the wire being more tidy, the issue is there is no padding between the power brick and the laptop and also the carboard padding around is not high enough so the brick is sticking out so during shipping when the box got compressed the brick bend the metal casing and also did some damage to the screen

It sucked but since I got me a Hive laptop and I am actually working on it now, it is not quite as small but maybe that is for the best, it seems to be holding up fairly well so I am pretty happy, but more on it in another post =.
