Splinterlands:Silver🥈1, Unlocked In Modern Ranked,5 Days into New Season.

(edited)

Hello Splinterlands fam! It is another new season,so much is going on for me in the frontier and modern ranked, couple with the brawl fights. Welcome to my blog @zusi78

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

I am okay with the gifts,I just need to focus and strategize on how to get to and unlock gold 3.The 2 rare scrolls would be much useful much more later, likewise the energy boost.

The battle that unlocked Silver 🥈 1 for me.

Battle and lineup

The ruleset were;

You cannot summon melee units.
The initial health of all units is equal to that of the unit on either twam with the highest base health.

The total manner cost was 34 and you are to chose splinters from the earth and life elements.

My Lineup (Earth-Focused with Rebirth Synergy)
Summoner: Elowen Sylphie –The star of the show! This Legendary Archon granted Resurgence (Rebirth) to my first two monsters and Trample as well.Resurgence brings a fallen unit back with full health and armor (cleansed of debuffs), though it skips a round and deals -1 damage to all units on the field. Trample allowed my melee tank to potentially chain kills.

  • Tank (Position 1): Quilliun Legionary –Ranged attack with Thorns and close-range capability. (Thorns didn't trigger much this game, but the tank held the line solidly.)
  • Position 2: Virid Veromancer – Magic attack powerhouse.
  • Position 3: Mindless Thrall – Magic attack with Phase (great for dodging and surviving).
  • Position 4: Satha Toledo – Ranged attack with Tank Heal and Lookout (providing crucial sustain and vision/support).

My Opponent’s Lineup (Kaylia Silverleaf Magic Control)

  • Summoner: Kaylia Silverleaf – Applied a global -1 Magic debuff to all my units, softening my magic damage output.
  • Tank (Position 1): Earthwork Sentinel – No attack (pure tankiness, average high health).I wonder why.
  • Position 2: Conclave Artificial – No attack but featured Camouflage (making it harder to target early).
  • Position 3: Ghostly Blacksmith – Magic attack with the game-changing Incendiary ability, to my favour.
  • Position 4: Glimmermancer – Magic attack.
  • Position 5: Anachron Bolter (Dual Dealer) – Ranged/Magic attack with Headwinds (imposed -1 Ranged power on all my units).
  • Position 6: Satha Toledo – Ranged attack with basic Rank Heal.

Round1
How the Battle Unfolded: The Incendiary Advantage
The real turning point was my opponent’s Ghostly Blacksmith with Incendiary. Starting from Round 2, this ability applies Burning to allied units (his own team). Burning causes all affected units to lose 2 health per round (with a 33% chance to spread to adjacent allies). It’s usually a strong DoT (damage over time) tool, but here it became a double-edged sword.

Round 2,beginning of a new round, first incendiary occurred.

Round 2,Scene 12,my tank Quilliun legionary was taken out,but rebirth granted by Elowen Sylphie brought her back and unleashed -1 damage to all units.

Quilliun legionary resurgence

**Round 3,Rpound by round, his numerical advantage eroded. The Burning DoT(damage overtime),turned his extra units into liabilities rather than assets. My lean, resilient 4-unit core outlasted the attrition war.

Round 4,the circle continues,it was the main attraction,as the battle raged on.

Ronud 6-7, three against one and with incendiary still effective,it was certainly game over
