Splinterlands:Rookie Magic Mayhem! First Brawl Victory, My Backline Magic Wizards Shred Through Bloodlust Beast Quora Towershead 🧙‍♂️🔥.

(edited)

Good morning, warriors!
Welcome to my blog.I want to use this post to share my first-ever involvement in a Guild Brawl,my experience and the battles still going on.
As you can see in the second screenshot above, I am now a proud member of the guild NFG Club - Legion II. Participating in Brawl fights is one of the important duties of being a guild member.

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

Before I go further with my experience with Quora Towershield, let me give a brief explanation on brawl fights — especially for rookies/newbies in the game like me.

Brawl fights (or simply Brawls) in Splinterlands are guild-based, large-scale team competitions where multiple guilds battle against each other in a tournament-style format.
Unlike regular ranked battles (1v1 player vs. player), Brawls emphasize guild teamwork ,your guildmates all contribute battles to help the entire guild score points (Crowns) and climb rankings.

Key Features of Brawls
Guild vs. Guild: Up to 10 guilds of the same Tier are randomly grouped into one Brawl. Each guild fights as a collective.

Format: Battles use the Wild format (most cards allowed, with specific rulesets and mana caps per "Fray").

Gladiator Cards: These powerful, soulbound cards (with Bloodlust ability). They make fights more exciting and strategic. Some can now appear in ranked battles too via certain summoner abilities and ruleset like are you not entertained where you are allowed to feature one gladiator card.

Rewards:
Crowns for the guild (used to level up the Guild Arena for better perks and higher tiers).

SPS (Splinterlands token) for participating guild members.

Merits for individual players (used to buy Gladius Cases for more Gladiator cards).
Guild-level bonuses like extra rshares in ranked play.

How Brawls Work (5-Day Cycle)
Brawls run on a repeating schedule with three phases:

  • Preparation Stage (48 hours): Guild members choose which Frays (specific groups of battles with different rules/card restrictions) they want to join. Higher guild Arena levels unlock more Frays/slots.

  • Combat Stage (48 hours): You submit your battle teams for the chosen Frays. Each Fray has a set number of battles you can enter.

  • Result Stage (24 hours): Battles are resolved, scores are tallied, Crowns and rewards are distributed.
The cycle repeats continuously, so new Brawls start regularly.

How to Participate.
Join a Guild (you need at least a Level 1 Arena guild).
During Preparation, sign up for available Frays.
Build and submit strong teams during Combat (similar to regular battles but often with unique rulesets or Gladiator cards).
Coordination with guildmates matters, guilds often discuss who takes which Frays to maximize coverage and wins.

Brawls have a fun "team sport" vibe compared to solo ranked climbing. Many players enjoy them for the community aspect, Gladiator card strategy, and extra earning potential.

Someday I would talk more extensively on Brawl

FEATURED CARD:
Now back to the main subject of this post: my encounter with Quora Towershield. I will also talk more extensively about her statistics and why she is loved in the Splinterlands community.

Quora Towershead (often called “Quora” by players) is widely regarded as one of the most loved and useful Gladius (Gladiator) cards in Splinterlands, especially in Guild Brawls. She’s an Epic Earth unit that costs 10 mana, expensive, but her kit makes her an absolute terror once she gets going.

Core Stats & Dual Attack Threat
Quora is a dual attacker with both melee and magic damage:
At max level (Level 6): 3 Melee + 2 Magic attacks.
Speed: 3
Health: 13 (solid but not tanky on its own)
Armor: 0 (she relies on other defenses)
This dual nature is already strong, she can hit physical tanks with melee while pressuring backline or magic-weak targets with her magic attack. In many matchups, this versatility lets her contribute damage no matter the enemy formation.

The Killer Combo of Abilities
What truly makes Quora fearsome is her full ability package, which unlocks progressively:
Bloodlust (from Level 1): Every time she lands a killing blow (defeats an enemy), she gains +1 to all stats. This includes:
+1 Melee attack
+1 Magic attack
+1 Speed
+1 Health
*And more as she stacks.

Bloodlust is the signature Gladius ability. One or two early kills can turn her from “strong” into an absolute monster ,imagine her going from 3 melee/2 magic to 5+ melee and 4+ magic after just a couple of kills. She snowballs hard, especially in longer battles or when your team sets her up for easy picks.
Heal(early levels): She restores a portion of her max health (roughly 1/3) every round. This self-sustain keeps her in the fight even when focused.

Immunity (unlocks at Level 3): Makes her immune to many negative effects and debuffs — she can’t be easily silenced, stunned, or weakened.

Dispel (unlocks at Level 5): On attack, she clears all positive status effects (buffs) from the target. This strips away enemy shields, inspires, or other protections.

Together, these create a nightmare scenario for opponents: Quora survives longer thanks to Heal + Immunity, removes enemy buffs with Dispel, and grows exponentially stronger with every kill via Bloodlust.

THE BRAWL BATTLES
I am going to share two brawl battles where I faced QUORA, a win and a loss,so use can see for yourself how ruthless she can be.

Battle 1 link
I won this very one

Battle 2 link
Round 1-12 ,I lost this battle, QUORA shred all my monsters to pieces.I was even admiring her prowess. She was ruthless all through!!!😳

Round 6,even with 5 against 1,one after the other she took them out 😢

My Verdict:
Quora is powerful, no doubt, but with smart synergy and disruption, she can still be taken down. That’s what makes Splinterlands battles so exciting.

Splinterlands is a fun game.If you haven’t joined yet, here’s a link to participate:
