Good morning, Splinterlands warriors! Happy weekend! How’s the grinding going so far? It’s only been four days into the season.
For me, I jumped straight into Modern Ranked as soon as the season started, and it’s been rough — so many losses. I started in Gold I and have now dropped to Gold II. I decided to take a break from Modern and tried Frontier Ranked today instead. It was smooth and refreshing.
I always advocate for patience and upgrading your units in Frontier Ranked. Once your foundation cards are fully maxed, you’ll reach Gold I and stay there — no one will be able to stop you. I’ve been sitting comfortably in Gold I for five months straight since I first broke into it.
90% of my foundation cards across all elements are fully maxed, and all my Archons are completely maxed out. That’s why I can confidently compete with almost any opponent. Just learn the rulesets, bring the right deck, and position properly for each battle.
Take a look — I started at 2,500 rating after the season reset, and now I’m already at 2,820 in just one day! Getting the 15 victories took me less than 2 hours.
This gives you 3 packs and 9 entries. Each pack contains 5 Foundation cards, which means a total of 15 Foundation cards for free. All you have to do is win fifteen battles daily until the season ends,if you can.

When I opened the 3 chests, using the well as shown above,I got some cool cards without buying any portion.

There was Little Sister, a Legendary card, and Water-Logged Wizard, a Rare card, among them. This illustrates how you can build your foundational cards. I sell my duplicate cards for DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) because I already own most cards and have them fully maxed. Any additional cards I acquire are upgraded to a certain level and then listed for sale in exchange for DEC.
Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building.Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

Now to my title, the reason for this post.At the moment a brawl is ongoing, and I have submitted my deck collection for each of the battles assigned to me.Mine was just four,so after selecting, the replay of one was ready for watching and coincidentally I won the fight. But what caught my interest was the gladiator my opponent featured which was Xulag Nightwind.
It is a legendary gladiator card, which I own myself when I opened a gladius case some weeks ago.So I really wanted to see its performance in battle, because of its powerful abilities.
The Brawl Fight.I have won two out of four submitted already.
Xulag actually performed,it is just that he doesn't have enough support in the battle and besides the thorns on all my units granted by my Archon Eternal Tofu coupled with my healer was just too much for Xulag.
I would not use this battle to rate him yet,to me he is a formidable and ruthless gladiator worth having.
At the end,it was Captain Katie, that stole the show .
