Fellow Splinterlands warriors, welcome 🤗 to my blog @zusi78. The season ends in just 2 days. After hundreds of hard-fought battles, it’s time to look ahead and lock in the plan for next season. I’ve been grinding hard, evolving my lineup with smart renewals, new additions, and targeted upgrades. Here’s exactly what the community can expect from me,no fluff, just the strategy built to climb higher. At the moment, I'm at Silver 2, trying to break into Silver 1in modern ranked. It hasn't been easy, opponents with ruthless and formidable sets of cards have held me back. There's every need for me to level up indeed!
MODERN RANKED

Splinterlands is no walk in the park, but that's what amps up the excitement.A winning strategy weighs stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and beyond. That's why you must factor them all into your deck building. Toss in strong cards to boost your setups, and push hard to rack up as many victories as possible! 🔥

Smart Rental Moves:
I am letting Go of Dead Weight, Renewing the MVPs.
Rental fees add up fast, so I’m staying ruthless with what stays and what goes.
Wormwood, Sanctus Vicar, Prophet Rosa and Halfling Refugee are still getting released. They served their purpose in spots, but they’re not pulling their weight in my current meta anymore.
However, I’m renewing the rentals that actually deliver results:
Captain Fellblade

Arachne Skinwalker

Abyssal Elemental

Warborn Shaman

These four have proven their value in my wins and will stay locked in for next season. No unnecessary cuts here, only keeping what keeps me winning.

New Blood Joining the Fray.
I’m not stopping at renewals. Fresh power is coming in to shake things up:
Skyspire Leopard

Skrag the Gnaw

Anasth Soothsayer

This card would be among the first I am renting.I have suffered much in battles where poison was used to annihilate my entire Deck.At least Soothsayer would bring some succour.
Gramel the Hunger

Halfling Refugee

I have it,but on level 1.I am bringing in a level 3 and most likely a gold or black variant.
Venka The Vile

Portia Nyr

These seven are stepping into the rotation to add new synergy, surprise factor, and raw utility. They’ll slot perfectly into my evolving teams and help me adapt faster across different rulesets.

Sticking with the MVP Summoner. But Adding Water and Dragon Fury
90% of my victories this season still came from Marlai Singariel-led teams. That Water Archon summoner remains the unbreakable core of my strategy. I’m not abandoning her she’s too consistent and she would be maxed before the mew season begins.
But I refuse to stay predictable.I’m bringing in a Dragon Summoner next season: either Sheng Xiao or Nidhoggr. Both are legendary powerhouses that bring aggressive new angles – armor reduction, breath attacks, and that raw dragon energy that can flip tough matchups. Diversifying my summoner pool is going to keep opponents guessing and let me adapt to any ruleset or mana cap.
Nidhoggr

Sheng Xiao

Elias Mat Pruitt

This dude 😎 would compliment both Marlai Singariel and Incessant Sage alot and he is also a dual summoner (water/life).

Fixing Over-Dependence & Leveling Up the Archons
I got too reliant on my Water Archon setup this season. Higher leagues punish that, so I’m diversifying hard:
Kaylia Silverleaf

(my owned Earth Archon) is getting upgraded to Level 2. Her Execute ability on the entire Elf bloodline is game-changing ,it turns solid units into instant finishers, and I can’t wait to unleash her full potential.
I’m adding a Fire Archon to the mix and pouring resources into upgrading my existing Fire units for that extra burn and speed.
With Dragon,Water, Earth, and Fire Archons all in play, plus the new rentals and additions.,My summoner pool is going to be way more flexible and deadly.

Shifting Focus: Heavy Frontier Ranked + Smart Glint Spending.
Foundation cards are the future, and many of mine are already close to max level. That’s why I’ll be grinding Frontier Ranked way more than Modern next season. Frontier keeps the focus on those Foundations cards, lets me push their levels faster, and still rewards serious play. Modern will still happen when the meta calls for it, but Frontier is where I see the biggest upside for long-term growth.
Glints = Rare Card Shopping Spree
Season rewards are dropping soon, and those Glints are going straight into my collection. I’ve got a shortlist of rare cards that fill gaps in my dragon and fire lines. Expect smarter, more targeted purchases that actually move the needle at higher leagues instead of random grabs.

The Goal? Climb Higher, Compete Harder
The higher you go, the tougher it gets.I know that from experience. But with dead-weight rentals gone, key rentals renewed, new warriors like Skrag the Gnaw, Anasth Soothsayer, Gramel the Hunger and Venka The Vile joining the fight, dragon and water/life summoners in the rotation, Kaylia hitting Level 2, fresh Fire power, and a heavy Frontier focus.I’m walking into next season leaner, more versatile, and built for the top tables.
This isn’t just a tweak,it’s a full evolution of the squad.
What do you think, Splinterlands fam?
Renewing any rentals yourself? Tried Sheng Xiao or Nidhogg yet? Who else is bringing in new cards like Skrag or Gramel? Drop your own season plans below, let’s hype each other up before the reset drops!
See you on the battlefield.
Let’s make the next season legendary. 🔥🐉
