Splinterlands: You don't lose until you give up!🔥

After likely setting a new personal record for losing battles, I finally won one today—and this is that very battle. Incidentally, the reason I was losing those battles wasn't due to any fault of my own, but rather because my Wi-Fi had been extremely unstable and glitchy for the past three days; consequently, I lost more than half of my battles simply because the network was working against me. As a result, I have now dropped from my personal best ranking of 1800 down to below 1600. However, I am not sharing this battle merely because I won it, but also because I won it in a particularly entertaining fashion. As you know, I watch all of my battles, so the entire process is inherently entertaining for me. Let me highlight the unique elements of this battle: I teamed up with the legendary Archon, Elowen Sylphie, granting my team the Resurgence ability for melee units. Furthermore, I placed the Empusan Darkguard at the very end of my lineup; this activated its Shadow Focus ability, causing the card to become Camouflaged. Additionally, the attack power of every other card in my team increased by +1, and all of my cards gained the Determined ability. However, my opponent was by no means weak; utilising the Swiftness, Execute, Bloodline Tribute, and Weaken abilities, they exerted immense pressure on my team—something you will clearly witness throughout the entire battle.

That is precisely why I am taking you straight to the third round—a moment when my team's warrior, the Endless Ape, was meeting its end. Following him was one remaining attacker, but with a mere 2 Health points—not nearly enough to withstand even a single attack from the enemy. Finally, positioned in the last slot, only the Empusan Darkguard remained—a unit that, by its very nature, performs no attacks until it reaches the first position. Meanwhile, the enemy's lineup featured the Endless Ape standing like a shield, backed by three consecutive magic-attack cards—all endowed with the Execute ability. Yet, it was precisely at this juncture that the enemy harboured a weakness, while I possessed a distinct strength. The enemy's weakness lay in the fact that, aside from their Endless Ape, they possessed no other card with sufficient Health to survive. My strength, conversely, resided in my Legendary Summoner, Elowen Sylphie; through her powers, I had bestowed the Resurgence ability upon my Endless Ape. This meant that, even after succumbing to this death, he still had one life remaining—and would return with all his stats fully restored to 100%.

In the Camouflage Ruleset, the strategy for the lineup was simple: place your cards capable of delivering the heaviest attacks at the back, and position your cards with the highest health at the very front. This ensures that these high-health cards grant the heavy attackers—positioned further back in the lineup—the freedom to survive within the team for a longer duration. The longer your heavy attackers remain in the team, the more damage they can inflict upon the enemy. I adopted this very strategy, as did my opponent; however, thanks to the Resurrect ability, I technically possessed not just one, but two Endless Apes—cards deployed specifically to shield my heavy attackers from enemy assaults in this battle. Consequently, even though my other card—boasting an attack power of 2 Magic + 3 Melee—possessed a mere 2 Health, the enemy still found it incredibly difficult to withstand the sheer force of its attacks.🔥

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
