Splinterlands: Unlocked the GOLD 2 tier for the first time in my entire Splinterlands journey! 🔥

I cannot express how happy I am to have accomplished this. Without @davemccoy Sir's help—and the encouragement derived from that support—I would not have been able to do this at all; certainly not this quickly. Over the last 3 to 4 seasons, I have played this game more than I did during the entire previous year. Furthermore, I have added several new cards to my deck—one of which, an Archon, became the very first card I upgraded to its maximum level. Naturally, once that card reached its max level, my strategic approach evolved as well; I explored two new synergies—one centred around Painforge and "Damage to Allied Cards," and the other revolving around the Scavenger and Resurgence abilities. After extensively testing both of these synergies under a multitude of conditions, I remain perfectly satisfied with their performance. Utilising one of these very synergies, I claimed victory in this battle and, by breaking the 2200 ranking threshold, successfully advanced to Tier 2 of the Gold League.

As rankings rise—bringing with them increasingly generous in-game rewards—the "welcome loot" received upon reaching a new tier becomes progressively more attractive. In Gold Tier 2, both the Minor and Major chests have seen an increment of +1; consequently, my hope of obtaining something truly mind-blowing from these chests has risen compared to before. This is based on my assumption that rewards should inherently improve in the higher tiers. However—contrary to expectation—the reality and my experience thus far suggest that either the tier makes no difference at all, or that landing something truly spectacular from loot chests depends entirely on sheer luck, regardless of the tier you are in. Nevertheless, out of habit, I utilized both Alchemy and Legendary potions to open this welcome loot.🔥

Ultimately, it depends on your expectations—specifically, what you consider a "mind-blowing" reward versus what you deem merely "average" or "okay." Personally, I feel that while the rewards from this "Welcome Loot" aren't exactly mind-blowing, they are certainly quite good. Simply by enjoying the game as usual—without spending any extra money—I received 7 + 1 = 8 Legendary Potions, 1 + 1 = 2 Alchemy Potions, and 2 Common Scrolls (which allow me to unbind my Common cards). I also earned approximately 1,270 Merits, which I can use to purchase even more Gladiator Packs. Furthermore—and without exaggeration—I received one rather basic Melee card; however, the other card I obtained—a Ranged card—is actually quite excellent. Since I already possessed several copies of this specific card (which I had previously combined to upgrade it to Level 2), adding this new copy brings my total count to 9. This means I am now just 5 copies away from reaching Level 3—at which point the card will gain an additional ability called "Headwinds," making it even more advantageous to use in battles.

Well, since the current season is set to end in just about two hours, I won't risk my current standing by playing any more battles. However, by ending the season right here, my ranking will reset to 1700, which falls within the Silver 1 tier. This means that starting tomorrow, I will begin the next season from the Silver 1 tier.🙂

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
