After a long time, I encountered a battle featuring three concurrent rulesets. The first of these was "Brute Force," which was the primary reason I chose Captain Frankie as my Arcanist for this battle; Brute Force grants the privilege of attacking first to the cards possessing the highest attack power. This means that under this ruleset, your cards' Speed attribute becomes entirely irrelevant, as priority is given solely to the cards capable of dealing the heaviest attacks. However, at the same time, the "Global Warming" ruleset signalled that I needed to proceed with caution while using this Arcanist. Under Global Warming, it was inevitable that—starting from the beginning of the second round—every card would sustain 2 points of health damage; and cards belonging to Captain Frankie's supportive Bloodlines typically tend to be somewhat lacking in health. Consequently, I adopted a balanced approach for this battle, fielding a team that included only two cards possessing the "Inspire" ability, as I wanted to avoid having cards that, due to their low health, would be unable to withstand the enemy's incoming attacks.

The first two cards on my team and my opponent's team were identical; however, my cards were equipped with significantly higher attack power. Even so, I was certainly taken aback when one of my cards was knocked out first—something I hadn't anticipated, given its superior attack capabilities. Yet, there were still more attacks to come, and most critically, at the end of the round, the effects of "Global Warming" were set to inflict a health penalty of -2; surviving that—and making it out alive—would be a challenge in itself.

And that is exactly what happened: at the start of the second round, the effects of "Global Warming" knocked out several cards. Subsequently, "Brute Force" was applied to the remaining cards, granting priority—and the freedom to strike first—to the cards capable of dealing the most serious damage. By this point, the attack power of my frontline tank had surged massively—boosted by two cards with the "Inspire" ability and the "What Doesn't Kill You" ruleset. As a result, my tank was able to strike first and knock out the enemy's most critical card. However, the enemy could still have emerged victorious had the "Global Warming" ruleset not been in effect in this battle. Curious to see exactly what transpired?
