Do you remember a few days ago, I bought some consumables in Splinterlands, mainly potions? That day, I purchased Alchemy Potions, as well as Legendary and Midnight Potions, which are specifically designed to boost the chances of getting Black Foil cards. That same day, I learned that the Midnight Potion, which increases the chances of getting Black Foil cards, can only be used with card packs. Besides that, the most commonly used potion is the Alchemy Potion, which you use to increase your chances of getting Gold cards, and it's frequently used in the reward shop. And then there's the Legendary Potion, which I used today when I went to collect my Bronze 1 loot in the Modern Battles ranking. As you can see, when I clicked on the loot, the pop-up shown above appeared, which included a confirmation that I was going to use these potions. Since it's not mandatory, if you don't want to use them, you can untick the box and confirm. But if you proceed using the potion, the chances of getting an Epic or Legendary card in this loot are doubled.

However, this is not guaranteed, and since the chances are already so low, doubling them doesn't make much of a difference. It's purely a matter of luck; if you're fortunate, you can certainly win amazing cards. Another perspective is that how good or bad the cards are also depends on your clever strategic thinking. Because if you understand the game mechanics well and build your team intelligently, paying attention to every important detail during team building, it's possible to win even with relatively weak cards.
Honestly, I have no idea, but maybe because this was a Bronze-level loot in the ranking system, the chances of getting Legendary and Epic cards were low. However, I'm still satisfied because, in addition to approximately 240 merits, I also received three cards from this loot, two of which are ranged attackers and one is a melee attacker. The melee attacker seems to be the weakest of the three, although it could be placed somewhere in the middle of the lineup in low mana battles due to its ability to increase attack power. However, I liked the ranged attackers more in this loot, and one of them is even a rare card. Both of these cards were already in my deck, so these copies will contribute to levelling them up to level 2. The good thing is not only their attack power but also their abilities. Opportunity targets the weakest enemy, and Sneak attacks the last card in the lineup. Besides that, both of them have decent speed, health, and armour, which is a nice package of stats. I'm not saying they're great, but based on my strategies, I know I can make good use of them on the battlefield with some supporting cards and a strong Archon.😎
