Namaste to all fellow players of Splinterlands!

Ok, so for this week's Community Engagement Challenge, I chose a Frontier format battle where I won using both defensive and offensive approaches with the same initial level one cards in just 28 mana.🔥

Let's look straight at the battlefield!

You see, the mana cap set for this battle is only 28; however, this is not a big issue because the foundation cards set also has a lot of cards with low mana cost. But the biggest problem in this battle is its ruleset, one of which restricts you to summon only a maximum of four cards, and the other opportunity enables every card to attack the enemy's lowest health card. Now, in the basic level one cards deck, you already have very few options to summon in low mana, which also have good health and are also capable of attacking, that too first if possible. Because the one who performs the attack first always gets some advantage. In such a case, if you summon attackers with low health, then the Opportunity ruleset will make your low-health card an easy target. And if you summon attacker cards with high health, then you may not be able to add even four cards because the total mana for this battle is also very low, and in such a case, there will be no defensive position in the lineup.

Now you see my lineup, this is something to pat myself on the back! :D

In the first place, I added a non-attacker in low mana who is not capable of attacking but has the Thorns ability, which will help defend on the frontline as well as damage the enemy with its Thorns. After this, in the second and third place, I placed 2 melee attackers with almost similar stats. Due to the opportunity in the ruleset, melee attackers could perform attacks from any position, so there was no doubt about their positioning, and their attacking powers were better than the available cards in my deck, so I placed both of them in the offensive position in my lineup. And after this, in the end, I placed another non-attacker whose health was less than my main melee attacking cards, who did not have Thorns but had the Backfire ability, which means that when an enemy card misses, the card with Backfire deals two physical damage back to them.

I have chosen the first and last card in the lineup knowingly having low health because due to the opportunity in the rule set, their low health will make them vulnerable to the initial attacks of the enemy and at the same time they will damage the enemy with their Thorns and Backfire abilities, so even though they are not attackers, their abilities make them ready to cause heavy damage to the enemy.

Because before the battle starts we don't know who will perform the first attack, so I placed the melee attackers in the middle of my Chakravyuh keeping in mind that their health should be more than the cards placed in the front and back so that if the enemy attacks first, my attackers remain safe and my defenders give a befitting reply to the initial attacks of the enemy. But luckily my attackers performed the attacks first, and after that, when the enemy attacked my non-attacker, he himself got knocked out in the return fire.

The cards can no doubt be much better than this, but as per the strategy, this is one of my best Linpus. Sneaking attacks, confusing the enemy and causing heavy damage while protecting the main attackers from enemy attacks is everything in this strategy, even with low mana and limited cards. And that is why I was able to destroy the enemy with the loss of only one of my cards. So this is once again a lesson that how the right lineup plays an important role and you can give a tough fight to the enemy even with basic cards; all you need is the right strategy and a little planning.
