My Splinterlands journey continues, and one thing I have been learning is how important it is to manage my decisions before and during a battle. Sometimes, I get excited about choosing my cards and entering a match, but I have realized that taking a little time to think through my options can make the experience more enjoyable.
When I look at my available cards, I try to consider which ones fit the situation instead of simply choosing my favourites. I enjoy going through my collection and thinking about the different combinations I could use. Even when I have a general idea of the kind of team I want to build, I still like to consider other possibilities before making my final choice.
One challenge I sometimes face is deciding when to stick with a familiar approach and when to try something different. Using cards I already understand gives me a certain level of confidence, but I also know that there is more to discover. I want to become comfortable exploring different combinations without feeling that I must always use the same cards to have a good battle.
I have also been thinking about how I react when a match does not go the way I expected. It can be tempting to focus only on the result, especially when I feel that I made a good selection. However, I want to pay more attention to the decisions I made along the way. Looking back helps me consider whether I understood my cards properly and whether there was another approach worth trying.
Another thing I appreciate about Splinterlands is that I can continue learning at my own pace. I do not have to understand every ability or combination immediately. As I keep playing, I become more familiar with the cards in my collection and the different ways they might contribute to a team. That gradual improvement is something I find satisfying.
For me, the enjoyment of the game comes from both the battles and the process of preparing for them. I like having the opportunity to make decisions, test my understanding, and discover something new. Even a difficult match can leave me with something to think about before my next game.
As I continue this journey, I want to become more thoughtful with my card selections and more patient with myself when I make mistakes. I know there will always be new challenges, but I am looking forward to facing them and finding more ways to enjoy the game.
How do you usually prepare for a Splinterlands battle? Do you take your time selecting cards, or do you prefer to enter a match quickly and see what happens?
