Day 11 of my Splinterlands journey, and today’s battle gave me one of those moments where you just sit back and wonder what is happening. 😂
I put together my team like I normally would. I checked the mana, looked at the ruleset, picked my cards, and decided which one would take the first position.
Nothing seemed particularly unusual.
My tank was ready to take the damage.
My attackers were behind it.
The plan was simple: let the tank absorb the attacks while the rest of the team slowly destroys the opponent.
At least, that was the plan.
The battle started, and my opponent immediately started attacking my tank.
One hit.
Then another.
Then another.
And somehow…
MY TANK WAS STILL ALIVE. 😂
I started watching closely because I genuinely expected it to disappear at any moment.
But it just kept surviving.
Its health kept getting lower and lower, but it refused to leave the battlefield.
At that point, the tank had basically become the main character. 😂
While my opponent was busy trying to destroy it, my other cards were getting plenty of time to attack.
One attack landed.
Then another.
Then another.
Suddenly, my opponent’s lineup was disappearing while my tank was still standing there like:
“Is that all you’ve got?” 😂🔥
That battle reminded me how important the right combination can be.
Sometimes you don’t need the strongest attacking lineup.
Sometimes you just need a card that can survive long enough for the rest of your team to do its job.
And that is one of the things I enjoy about Splinterlands.
You can enter a battle thinking one card is going to be the star, but another card completely surprises you.
The card I expected to simply protect my team ended up becoming the reason the entire strategy worked.
Without that tank surviving all those attacks, my attackers probably would not have had enough time to finish the job.
It also made me think more about positioning.
The first position is extremely important because that card is usually going to take a lot of punishment. Choosing the right card can completely change how the battle develops.

A strong tank can give your other cards the time they need.
A weak tank can make your entire strategy collapse almost immediately. 😂
And sometimes you only realize how important that first position was after the battle is already happening.
That is why I am becoming more careful with my lineups.
I am not just asking which card has the highest attack.
I am thinking about which card can actually survive, which abilities can help the team, and how long I need my tank to stay alive.
Every battle teaches me something new.
Some lessons come from winning.
Some come from losing.
And some come from watching one stubborn tank refuse to die. 😂
Day 11 has been another reminder that Splinterlands can surprise you when you least expect it.
A card you thought would simply play its role can suddenly become the MVP.
And when that happens, there is nothing left to do except enjoy the moment.
For now, I am going to keep experimenting, keep learning, and keep looking for those unexpected combinations that can turn an ordinary lineup into a winning team.
The journey continues.
And hopefully, I find another tank that refuses to die. 😂🔥
