The Battle That Had Me Confused πŸ˜‚

(edited)

Day 11 of my Splinterlands journey, and today I had one of those battles where I genuinely had to sit back and ask myself:

β€œWhat exactly is going on here?” πŸ˜‚

I went into the battle feeling confident.

I checked the ruleset, looked at the mana available, and started putting together my team. I tried to make sure every card had a purpose.

At least, that was what I thought.

The battle started and, for the first few rounds, everything looked normal.

My team was attacking.

My opponent was attacking.

Cards were losing health.

Nothing unusual.

Then suddenly, something happened that I was not expecting.

One of my cards survived an attack that I was almost certain would take it out.

I thought it was just luck.

Then it happened again.

And again.

At this point, I was watching the battle like:

β€œOkay… what is keeping this card alive?” πŸ˜‚

The funny thing about Splinterlands is that sometimes you think you understand exactly how a battle is going to play out, but the actual battle has other plans.

A card can suddenly become much more important than you expected.

An ability can completely change the situation.

A single surviving card can give your team enough time to turn the battle around.

And before you know it, what looked like a guaranteed loss becomes a possible win.

That is exactly what makes these battles so interesting for me.

There is always an element of uncertainty.

You can plan your lineup before the battle, but once the fight begins, you have to watch everything unfold.

Sometimes your strategy works perfectly.

Sometimes it works for a few rounds and then completely collapses.

And sometimes you have absolutely no idea why you won. πŸ˜‚

Those are probably the funniest victories.

You finish the battle and think:

β€œI will take the win, but I don’t completely understand how we got here.” πŸ˜‚

I am also starting to realize that every battle is teaching me something about my cards.

The more I use them, the more I understand their strengths and weaknesses.

Some cards are great at dealing damage.

Some are better at protecting the team.

Some are useful because of their abilities rather than their raw stats.

And some seem ordinary until they are placed in exactly the right situation.

That is why I want to keep experimenting.

I don’t want to use the same lineup every time and expect the same results.

I want to try different combinations and see what happens.

Sometimes I might discover something really effective.

Other times I might create a lineup so bad that I immediately know I should never try it again. πŸ˜‚

Either way, it is part of learning.

Day 11 has been another reminder that Splinterlands is not just about pressing the battle button.

There is a lot of thinking involved.

You have to make decisions before the battle, watch how those decisions play out, and then learn from the result.

And honestly, that is what keeps me coming back.

Every battle feels like another small experiment.

Sometimes the experiment succeeds.

Sometimes it fails.

Sometimes it makes absolutely no sense.

But there is always another battle waiting.

So I am continuing the journey, one battle at a time.

More cards.

More strategies.

More experiments.

More unexpected moments.

And hopefully, a lot more wins along the way. πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯
