It is a Ranged Attack-based card that performs exceptionally well in high-mana battles. Let’s start with a story: the inspiration for the Ratbound Corsair comes from the tale of a fearsome sailor named Mickvir. After surviving a shipwreck in his childhood, he was rescued by pirates and grew up at sea, with the ship's rats as his only companions. Later, under the influence of mysterious oceanic powers, he transformed into a hybrid of a human and a sea serpent, eventually becoming known as the Ratbound Corsair. While the Ratbound Corsair boasts impressive attack power and speed, its health is relatively low; consequently, it is more effective as a backline damage dealer than as a primary tank.

This card possesses two standout abilities. The first is "Close Range," which allows the Ratbound Corsair to execute ranged attacks even when positioned at the front of the lineup—a feat usually impossible for ranged units. The second is the "Blast" ability, which makes the unit even more formidable; when it strikes a target, it also deals additional damage to adjacent enemy units, potentially weakening multiple foes in a single attack. In my opinion, the Ratbound Corsair is a Water unit capable of turning the tide of a match under the right circumstances. The combination of Close Range and Blast makes it unique. Although it has low health and a relatively high mana cost, it remains a highly effective offensive card for high-mana matches.
