Splinterlands- Drybone Megalodon: Powerful defense and formidable melee attack.

Hello friends, I hope everyone is doing well. Today, I’m sharing some thoughts on the Drybone Megalodon. When building a fire team the most appealing aspects of this card for me are its powerful melee attack and solid defense. If used correctly it can hold the front position while simultaneously applying pressure on the opponent.

This card has a mana cost of 8. Its flank ability grants reach to a melee monster positioned behind it. Consequently placing a strong melee attacker behind it allows for attacks from two monsters simultaneously a combination I find quite effective.

Another great feature is its retaliate and thorns abilities. At higher levels these abilities provide a distinct advantage against enemies using melee attacks. As a result this card proves very useful if the opponent fields a melee heavy team.

However due to its 8 mana cost it isn't always easy to use in low mana battles. You also need to be careful when building a team against opponents relying on magic attacks. Therefore rather than simply picking a card because it is powerful it is crucial to consider the ruleset and how well it synergizes with the rest of your monsters.

To me the best part is that it not only attacks on its own but also enables the melee monster in the second position to join the fray. When used in the right team composition it can play a pivotal role in the battle.

I’ll wrap up today’s post here. I hope you enjoyed this brief review of the card. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. See you in the next one. Thanks to everyone ❤️
