Splinterlands- Daigendark Surveyor: A card to disrupt enemy strategy.

Hello friends, Today’s post I’m writing about a water monster that has no attack of its own yet can play a crucial role in battle when used correctly. It is a common monster from the rebellion edition and costs only 2 mana to include in your team. This makes it a great addition to low mana battles allowing you to fit it in alongside other powerful monsters.

Its first ability is magic reflect. When hit by an enemy’s magic attack this ability deals magic damage back to the attacker. Consequently it proves highly effective against teams that rely on magic attacks turning the enemy's own offense against them even though the card itself lacks an attack stat.

At level 5 it gains the slow ability which reduces the speed of all monsters on the enemy team by 1. This increases the chances for your own monsters to strike first. At its maximum level it gains the stun ability which has the potential to prevent an enemy from taking an action on their next turn. However even with stun it still cannot attack on its own unless it gains an attack stat through another ability.

A unique way to utilize this card is to place it next to a monster that possesses the weapon training ability. By receiving an attack stat from such a monster it becomes capable of attacking in battle. Thus while it begins as a support unit it can become even more effective when integrated into the right team composition.

In my view the greatest advantage of this card is its ability to counter enemy magic attacks and reduce enemy speed all for a very low mana cost. That said because it lacks an inherent attack it won't be equally effective in every battle it is best used by carefully considering the opponent's team and the specific battle ruleset.

Overall Daigendark Surveyor is a support monster that under the right circumstances can significantly strengthen your team's overall strategy.
