Alright - it's been some days since I attained CREDITS (using my HBD earned from content creating on the Hive Blockchain). Don't over-look that statement: () content created -check () voting on by peers to earn currency - check () currency used to purchase Hive Blockchain assets - check. (Funny note: I almost left out the t in assets) It's one giant cycle that feeds into itself. The best part is all of my actions keeps those traded currencies right here within the Hive Ecosystem. I have not once moved any currencies out of the Hive Ecosystem but I have moved some inside of it. That being said sometimes its best to use the PayPal feature so you can utilize your earned Hive and/or HBD for something else like powering up. What is best for you - only you can decide. We got a little off-topic there. As always I create my posts in-real-time. Meaning I will be creating this post as I take the actions described in text. I should link my previous post. One of my rules when creating content is to link back to a previously created post of mine when possible. Here is that link for this post: Listing My UNTAMED assets for sale.
That's right --- it's pack purchasing time. I recently listed some UNTAMED cards for sale and I don't like the thought of my collection shrinking in card count. The solution to that can only be adding more cards to replace the ones I have listed for sale (more will be listed soon). I am a fan of Foundation Ranked play. It is within Foundation Ranked Play that I find my self competing when I have the time to do so. Naturally this would mean I would like to improve my Foundation set. I bet you know what I'm getting at here. That's right, we will be purchasing some Foundation Packs today. Lets take a look at their current USD trade value. To do that take note of the first image in this post. Looks like the asking price of a Foundation Pack is just $0.036 USD. Lady's and gentlemen that is only $0.36 for 10 packs or 50 cards. These are so affordable it's almost impossible to resist them. If you can resit such a thing you have more will power than me. Here we go, lets purchase a handful or two of packs and then spend some time opening a few in-real-time.

As the screenshot above indicates we purchased 10 packs. We opted to pay in credits which came to a total of 360 Credits. The last time we did this we beat the odds four times until the fifth pack flipped over the standard one rare and four commons. Lets see if we can beat the odds again and for how long. We should note that we won't be using any potions on our openings. There is no reason as to why other than we never usually do. I flipped the potions option to off at some-point and never looked back. Not something I necessarily advise but I digress. I like to keep chatting with you but opening packs is fun and I can hear those gold foil legendary card rumbles in the background waiting on me to find them. Lets see if we can uncover some and put them to battle. If not a gold foil of any variant will suffice. Perhaps a few epics and rare's ---- lets find out together.

Did I manifest the Legendary in our first pack opening. Was it just sure luck? Regardless of how it came to be, it did. It's always good to see a Rare or better on the first card flipped in a pack but seeing a Rare or better under the first two cards flipped makes that pack opening a win no matter how you dice it. Toss in a legendary reveal and that pack opening becomes a dandy one. Pack Two we weren't so lucky. We flip the standard one rare - four common pack. No complaints here. After opening that first pack we were expecting some variance. Pack Three also gave us the one rare - four common flip but the one rare was an Archon so I would categorize that in the better than average column. Pack Four and Pack Five both beat the odds giving us a total of five more rares and an epic to add to our collection (not to mention some Archons). It wasn't until Pack Six that we didn't get another standard pack opening. We were going to stop there but with lucky number seven up next we pushed our luck and BOOM a gold foil has appeared. An Epic decided to come along for the ride. This is where we decided to stop pushing our luck. We will be opening some more packs on another day. The Legendary we flipped is named: Mystick Scaleweaver. This Legendary card alone has a USD value worth more than the spent amount on all 10 packs.

Lore taken from the official Splinterlands site
Mystic Scaleweavers are serpentine thaumaturges in service to the Gloridax Empire. Trained to manipulate the weave of reality with surgical precision, they are more than spellcasters. They are arcane engineers, unraveling stone with a gesture, folding light into illusion, all while bound by the rigid hierarchies of imperial command and generations-old magical doctrine.
They serve as tacticians and battlefield saboteurs, deployed to weaken defenses and fracture enemy lines before the first charge is sounded. Their incantations follow sanctioned forms, refined through centuries of practice. Improvisation is discouraged. It risks failure, inefficiency, or worse, dishonor.
Accordingly, every spell cast by a mystic scaleweaver is a calculated move in service to the empire, and their gaze carries the weight of that purpose. They see not only the world as it is, but how it might be rewritten to serve the empire’s will.
