Lets Purchase Some Packs [2026-04-03]

Log In to Splinterlands > Hover to the top of the homepage > Hover over and click the Shop icon > Boom you are in the right section. The page you are now on will show the Splinterlands SHOP page as of the date of 2026-04-03. For this post we are interested in the Card Packs section. To get to such a section we need to click on just that - the image that says Card Packs within the SHOP section of the Splinterlands site. Once that is done -> we are met with a number of options displayed on a new page: () Escalation () Conclave Arcana () Rebellion () Foundation and more. Currently we here at the @rentmoney blog are traveling within the Foundation realm so for today's purchase we will choose Foundation packs as our purchase of choice. To do that all we need to do is hover over and click on the Foundations image. If you are on the right page you should be looking at the below. Your page will then update to the Foundation Pack section (image two below). If you don't see the below images you are likely in the wrong section.

The last screenshot above shows the page you should now be on. Looking at the purchase price I can see one Foundation pack costs just $0.04 USD. Let me say that again: Foundation packs costs just $0.04 USD. Seeing this price I have no choice but to pick some up. We have multiple options on how to do this. Purchasing with Credits being one of those options. The second being using DEC to trade for packs. We have some left over Credits in our account so we will use them for today's trade. Credits can be purchased on the official Splinterlands site at a ratio of $1:1000 credits through paypal. But for curiosity lets see how much DEC we would need to purchase one Foundation pack. Looks like the answer is 75+ DEC. As we already noted we are purchasing with Credits and the cost per Foundation pack in credits is currently 39 credits. Today we will purchase 10 making our total cost to purchase 390 credits or put another way 39 cents. It's insane to think I just purchased 10 Splinterland packs for less than 40 USD cents. Done and Done - Lets open some of those packs using the MANA Well. Can we beat the standard one rare + four common each pack contains. I don't know but lets find out together.

That was a pleasant surprise. I was very tempted to stop after the first opening which contained two RARE and one EPIC. A flip that is miles above the standard one Rare and four Commons. I proceeded with caution expecting the standard opening in pack two but that wasn't the case. Pack two flips over three Rare and one Epic. Once again I am tempted to stop but push forward regardless. BOOM -- we hit a Gold common in pack three. Pack three also contained a Rare Archon. We beat the odds three times in a row. No-way we do it a fourth time, can we? It was at this point I decided to keep flipping until we find a standard one rare / 4 common flip. Pack four contained one Epic and two Rare cards. That is four flips in a row that we beat the odds. Pushing forward is the only way so pack five here we come. It was pack five where we met our match. Pack five flipped over the standard pack which as we noted multiple times is - one rare card and four common cards. We can't be mad at that. We beat the odds 4/5 times very handily. That is 25 more cards to add to the collection (5x5) and we are happy to do so for the low price of 39 cents. Finding fun for the low cost of 39 cents is the best flip in this story.
