New Abilities Incoming

The release of the new Splinterlands Core set named Conclave Arcana is all the buzz in the Splinterlands world. The presale for such packs starts in just Five Days (April 22nd) and will end on May 11th, 2025. There is lots to unpack in the official Splinterlands announcement post titled Introducing Conclave Arcana! but for this post I would like to bring your attention to the new abilities that are about to get introduced. To me it looks like some of them are going to be a game changer. Those who have the Conclave set within their collection are surely to have the upper hand on those who don't. Lets Dig In and have a look at these new abilities!

Painforge:

+1 power when damaged by Poisoned or Burning or hit by an ally.

Reckless:

Each successful attack also deals 1 damage to adjacent allied units.

Bloodline Tribute:

When defeated, all allied units of the same bloodline gain +1 health, speed, and armor and +1 power to each shared attack type.

Resurgence:

Self-resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn. Deals 1 physical damage to all units.

Shapeshift:

Treated as all bloodlines.

Final Rest:

Allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat cannot activate.

Reveal:

Each round applies Revealed to a Camouflaged enemy unit. Revealed units can be targeted by direct attacks.

Relentless Strike:

Deal true damage. Phase and Dodge do not reduce chance to hit.

Bloodline Dominion:

You can summon any unit of the same bloodline as this archon, regardless of element.

Look At Those

Listed above is the upcoming abilities that will be introduced with the Conclave Arcana set. I'm not sure where to start with these new abilities as I think they all might be game changers. I'll simply highlight each one in no particular order and give a very brief opinion on each. Here we go; (1) Painforge: Poisoned is already one of my favorite abilities; this new ability Painforge kicks that into another gear (2) Reckless: a triple hit, lets go! (3) Bloodline Tribute: this is an interesting one. We could see the popularity of low health cards increase as sacrifices to trigger this new ability might become a thing (4) Resurgence: Self-resurrects with 100% health and armor and if that wasn't enough there's more (game changer) (5) Shapeshift: this one sounds interesting I will have to see it in action (6) Final Rest: the counter to many; make sure you are reading battle rules (7) Reveal: a fun new addition (8) Relentless Strike: Phase and Doge do not reduce hit chance. This is a big one. Its painful watching your unit miss for the 5th time in a row. This new ability helps remove that pain (9) Bloodline Dominion: summon any unit from its bloodline regardless of element, yet another amazing ability.

Concluding Thoughts

These abilities alone are reason enough to participate in the upcoming presale of Conclave Arcana. That's a total of nine new abilities being introduced and most are or potentially all are game changers. I believe this set is a must have for anyone looking to compete with the best of them within the Splinterlands battlefields. Without them kiss your chances of being at the top of any battle play goodbye. That's not to say older sets can't hang with this new set being introduced (they will) but the more in your arsenal the better chance for victory.
