Good morning everyone! Another morning where I start of easy by playing a couple of Splinterlands battles, it's how I like to start my days off. 😊
This morning I pushed in to Diamond League for the fourth season in a row, I would have rather stayed in Gold to get the nice leaderboard rewards but it is what it is, and I have to say the great SPS and Glint rewards at this rating are pretty nice as well, now that something apparently has changed and in the second week of the season I'm at a higher rating that in previous seasons, I've delegated 10k extra SPS to this account to boost the earnings but it's still not enough to keep the boost at 10x

Would another 10k help? let's find out live while I'm making this post 😅

It's quite crazy how much SPS a player needs at the higher levels, the SPS is coming from my main account which is playing in Wild and needs a ton of SPS as well so for now I have to settle with these earnings, that isn't bad at all!

So, one of the first fights once I got in to Diamond was against a higher level player, which happens a lot now because I'm playing two leagues above my deck level so I can't complain about that I guess...
It was an interesting ruleset combination of Anemic and Weak Magic, in general I like to use units with Void Armor in the Anemic ruleset, so that it's harder to quickly get through my front line, other stats that are important here is obviously speed and high damage, when you're the one who strikes first and do high damage with that strike, chances are you're going to kill the first unit straight away before it can move itself.
Commander Slade with Elias is great for this because it strikes twice and packs a serious punch, combined with Piercing makes it extra lethal.
Another ability which is awesome for the Anemic ruleset is Bullwark which gives the unit +8 health and +8 armor once it gets to the first position, especially in this ruleset combo with Weak Magic it was a perfect combination but... spoiler alert you will later see it didn't even get to that point. 😅

My opponent thought Slade was the biggest threat as well, and they decided to poison him at the start of the fight, not cool! 😅 But still, it would take two full rounds before Slade is killed, and by that time he already did some serious damage, with the Sentry behind it as a third tank and my Tsunamist repairing armor, it looks like I'm okay for this battle.
At the start of round two, both the tank as the taunt had been killed, unfortunately now two of my units have been poisoned.

Slade's damage was too much for the enemy front and although both of the poisoned units died at the start of round 3, it was already too late for the other team.

At the start of round 4 only the Hemlig was left and it couldn't get through my Void Armor combined with Repair and soon after, the battle was a win for me with some really nice rewards.

You can watch the battle unfold for yourself here.
