Welcome back to another juicy and fresh Splinterlands post, everyone and I guess all of you are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying a pleasant and wonderful day with your family and friends. Now, for those of you who are actively focusing on building your influence in this amazing Web3 strategy-based card game and continuously trying hard to improve your NFT cards, tokens and asset collection, I guess all of you are currently busy fighting in the ranked season arena battles and trying to squeeze out every last trophy that you can before the current season finally comes to an end. Right now, if we take a quick look at the ongoing ranked season timer, only around 18 hours and 30 minutes are left before the reset happens, so the final battle rush is already in full swing and please hurry if you are yet to catch your goal.

Now, talking about my own progress in the frontier mode of this game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 4,020. Honestly, I am not expecting too much from this season anymore, because I have a low energy meter already, but I will still try my best to somehow push toward the 4,200 trophy mark before the reset happens.

Apart from ranked grinding, I also received a pretty cool reward today from the daily wheel. I managed to win a special Vega Tattoo skin for my avatar’s face, which honestly looked quite awesome and unexpected. On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I currently hold 39 entries and there are still around 1 day and 17 hours left before the raffle draw takes place. My target this time will probably stay around 54 entries because I am already running pretty low on battle energy.

Apart from that, today I also opened a total of 6 Foundation packs that I had earned from the last 2 days of daily Frontier mode missions. The pulls actually turned out insane this time because I managed to get a jackpot of 2 Legendary cards, 1 Epic card, 7 Rare cards, including 4 Archons, 1 Gold Foil Common, and the rest regular Common foil cards, which I would say is a great pull for just 6 packs.

Now, moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be discussing another very interesting monster card from the newest card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Lifeward Channeler. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us take a deeper dive without any further delay.
The Lifeward Channeler is a monster-type card that belongs to the Life element and comes from the Drakoshan bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Rare monster, so you will require a total of 115 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. One of the biggest highlights of this monster is definitely its tiny mana cost of only 2, which makes it an extremely flexible option for almost every type of battle, especially low mana limit matches and the ones with Little League ruleset. The attack type of this monster is Magic, and apart from its decent magic attack, it also comes with an extremely heavy armour and health combination for such a low mana card. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of three abilities that make it both defensive and amazingly supportive at the same time. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities below to find more about this monster.

At level 2, this monster already possesses impressive stats for just 2 mana. It carries 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with a gigantic 5 armor and 5 health. Apart from these defensive stats, it also gains the Weary ability and this ability becomes more dangerous as battles become longer because enemy monsters slowly start losing turns due to exhaustion.

WEARY – At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot retaliate.
When you upgrade this monster further to level 4, its stats improve and it now carries 1 magic attack power at 3 speed with 6 armor and 6 health. At this level, it also unlocks another extremely useful defensive ability called Void Armor. This ability makes the monster extremely effective against magic attackers because incoming magic damage is forced to go through its huge armor first.

VOID ARMOR – Magic attacks hit armor first before damaging health.
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 6, its stats improve once again and it now possesses 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 6 armor and 7 health. Even though it does not gain any new abilities at this level, the increased attack and health make it much stronger in battles.
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 8, its stats improve even further and it now carries 2 magic attack power at 3 speed with 6 armor and 8 health. At this level, it also unlocks another very useful support ability called Tank Heal. This ability becomes extremely useful when paired with gigantic frontline tanks because it continuously restores their health during battle and itself when the first one dies.

TANK HEAL – Each round, restores 1/3 of the max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the front position.
Last but not least, I think this monster is honestly one of the most overpowered low mana defensive cards introduced recently. For only 2 mana, you get a monster with a huge armor and health combination along with decent magic attack power and strong utility abilities. Personally, I think this monster works best either in the second position supporting a frontline tank with Tank Heal or even directly at the first position itself because its defensive stats are already massive enough to survive multiple big attacks. The Weary ability is also very interesting because longer battles slowly become more difficult for enemy monsters as they start getting exhausted and skipping turns. If you manage to keep this monster alive for multiple rounds, the ability becomes extremely annoying for your opponent. Another is the Void Armour ability. Since enemy magic attacks are forced to hit its gigantic armour first, this monster becomes a pure anti-magic wall. Finally comes the Tank Heal ability, which is probably the best support ability on this card. If you place a gigantic frontline monster before this card, it will continuously heal your tank every round. Once the frontline monster falls, the Lifeward Channeler itself can then move forward and continue tanking damage while still remaining difficult to eliminate. Overall, I think the Lifeward Channeler is an insanely valuable low mana support and tank card that can fit into many different lineups. What do you think?
