Splinterlands | SILVERLEAF MAGE’s Poison Burst ability is deadly

Hello Splinterlands fam!

Welcome to another splinterlands post and I hope all of you are doing well in life and waiting for the weekend after a stressful week. For us splinterlands players, as with the ranked and frontier seasons just ended recently, all of you who fought well in the past season should enjoy this weekend to the fullest, because next weekend we all will be busy battling in the bloody arena, chasing trophies and more wins. If we take a peek at the clock of the current ranked season, we still have around 10 days in hand and on the other hand, around 3 days remain for the next Frontier raffle to execute. So, do not only focus on the ranked, brawls or tournaments and try to utilise your frontier battle energies as well to win some cool foundation cards. Now, many of you focus on the modern ranked season and I hope you all are excited about the upcoming Conclave Arcana airdrop card as well, which is called Calamity and is the third airdrop card from the CA conflict event. So, if you have already staked your cards in these battle wagons and are earning points, then all the best and if not, there are only around 1 day and 6 hours remaining before the 3rd conflict starts.

Now talking about myself, I am, as usual, playing in the Frontier mode and slowly but gradually, I am increasing and upgrading my Foundation card collection. Though there are still some epic and legendary cards that I am missing in my collection, many of my common and rare cards are upgraded to level 2 or even 3. Not only that, but as I am now continuously playing at the Silver League, I am receiving more cards and Frontier Raffle entries per reward claim. Tight now, I am playing at Silver I league tier with a current trophy count of 1,700 and gladly, I am getting 4 cards and 2 frontier raffle entries per reward claim. So far this frontier season, I have collected 20 frontier entries, and with another 3 days to go, I will try my best to reach at least 35. I am also glad to have recently upgraded 2 of my death element common cards from level 2 to 3, as you can see from the screenshots above. The first one is my favourite melee defence card in Death, the Nim Guard Captain and the other one is Spinetail Fiend. Not to mention, as I am upgrading these foundation cards one by one, they are helping me a lot to reach higher league tiers and with this rate, I will be soon playing in the Hold league in the next 1 or 2 months, hopefully.

Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post, as today, I will be talking about another amazing Conclave Arcana monster with you all that you will surely like. As you have already spotted in the thumbnail above, today I will be projecting the spotlight upon the Silverleaf Mage. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this card, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

SILVERLEAF MAGE

The Silverleaf Mage is a monster type card which was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Conclave Arcana edition cards. This divine looking monster belongs to the Earth element and comes from the Elf bloodline. This is actually a huge monster that costs 11 mana to be used in battles, so ideally, it is useful to insert his monster in your lineup when playing high mana limit matches. The rarity of this monster is Rare, so you would need a total of 115 BCX cards to upgrade it to its max level. The attack type of this card is Ranged and apart from a high attack power, it also comes with decent armour, a very large health bar at good speed, along with 4 amazing abilities at its max level, which I am going to cover later in this post. Let us now take a further look into this card’s league wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster card possesses 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armour and a large 10 health. Apart from promising stats even at its bronze league’s second level, it also comes with 2 abilities, first the Taunt that it gets at its initial level and then the Corrosive Ward that it gets at level 2. Both these abilities are super useful, where the Taunt ability will keep your other monster safe, while the Corrosive Ward ability will reduce enemy melee attackers' armours.

TAUNT - Draws the attacks of enemy units. Does not affect Reach, Scattershot, Wingbreak, or enemy units in the first position.

CORROSIVE WARD - -2 to attacker’s armour and maximum armour when hit by a melee attack.

SILVER

When you upgrade this monster card to level 4, it receives increased stats of 3 ranged attack power at 2 speed with 2 armour and 11 health. Not only that, but it also gets a brand new ability at this level called Poison Burst. This is one of the newest abilities that was launched with the CA edition and believe me, it’s literally a poison bomb that not only affects its killer but the killer’s adjacent units too.

POISON BURST - When defeated, 100% chance to apply poison to the attacker and 50% chance to apply poison to units adjacent to the attacker. Poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round.

GOLD

When this monster gets upgraded to level 6, it gets further upgraded stats of 3 ranged attack power at 3 speed with 3 armour and 12 health. Apart from the buffed-up stats, it also receives a new ability at this level called Divine Shield, which is an old and well-known ability that saves this monster from the first attack received, irrespective of its damage power.

DIVINE SHIELD - Ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when this monster gets upgraded to its max level of 8, it possesses immense stats of 4 ranged attack power at 4 speed with 3 armour and a whopping 13 health. Though it does not get any new abilities at its max level, its increased firepower, speed and health will definitely help you on the battlefield.
