Welcome back to another fresh and juicy Splinterlands post, everyone, and I hope all of you are doing pretty great in your lives and enjoying another wonderful day with your family and friends. I also hope your ranked battles have been going well, and I imagine all of you are, as usual, playing in this ongoing ranked season. I hope you all are collecting plenty of rewards while climbing up the trophy ladder and reaching one step closer to your goal every day, whether it is to reach a particular league tier or to secure a spot in the highest champion leaderboard. If we take a quick look, the new ranked season has only just begun and still has around 13 days and 22 hours remaining, so there is still a lot of time left for all of us to grind trophies, complete daily missions, and collect as many rewards as possible before the season comes to an end.

Talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode of this game, I am currently competing in the highest Gold I league with a trophy count of 2,800. As usual, my first target is to reach the 4,200 trophy mark. After that, if I still have enough battle energy and sufficient time left before the season ends, I will once again try to secure a position on the leaderboard. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 15 entries collected. There are still around 4 days and 21 hours remaining before the raffle closes, so my usual target remains somewhere between 54 and 57 entries.

Today's Frontier Daily Wheel turned out to be quite rewarding. On my very first spin, I received a Free Spin together with 600 Sparks, which was already a nice reward. Then, after using the free spin immediately, I landed on 4 Battle Energy as my second reward. I certainly won't complain about free battle energy because it gives me a few more ranked matches without having to wait.

Apart from that, I also opened 5 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' daily missions. This time my rewards included 1 Epic card, 7 Rare cards including 1 Archon, while the remaining cards were all Common cards. Overall, I think it was a decent pack opening session.

Now moving on to today's featured monster, I would like to introduce another interesting card from the newest Escalation mini card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be taking a closer look at Okora the Devourer.
Okora the Devourer belongs to the Dragon element and comes from the Ulund bloodline. It is classified as a Legendary monster card, meaning players need a total of 11 CC cards to fully upgrade it to its maximum level. This monster costs 9 mana to deploy and comes equipped with both Ranged and Magic attacks, making it capable of dealing two different types of damage every round. Besides its impressive dual attack, it also unlocks a total of five abilities at maximum level, giving it plenty of utility and making it one of the more versatile Legendary monsters in the Escalation mini set. Let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

At Level 1, Okora the Devourer possesses 2 Ranged attack, 1 Magic attack, 3 Speed, and 7 Health. Right from its initial level, it comes with two useful abilities: Opportunity and Enrage.

OPPORTUNITY – Targets the enemy monster with the lowest Health.

ENRAGE – Gains +50% Speed and +50% Melee attack (rounded up) whenever it is no longer at full Health.
At Level 2, the monster keeps the same 2 Ranged attack, 1 Magic attack, and 3 Speed, while its Health increases to 8. At this level, it unlocks another useful defensive ability.

PHASE WARD – At the start of battle, the unit positioned directly in front of this monster gains the Phase ability.
At Level 3, Okora the Devourer improves further with 2 Ranged attack, 1 Magic attack, 4 Speed, and 8 Health. At this stage, it unlocks one of the strongest scaling abilities in Splinterlands.

BLOODLUST – Gains +1 to all stats after dealing the killing blow to an enemy monster.
At Level 4, Okora the Devourer reaches its maximum form with 2 Ranged attack, 2 Magic attack, 5 Speed, and 8 Health. At this level, it unlocks its final ability.

KINDRED WILL: MIMIC – At the start of battle, adjacent monsters with Kindred gain the Mimic ability.
Last but not least, I think Okora the Devourer is one of the most versatile Legendary monsters introduced in the Escalation mini set. The biggest attraction for me is undoubtedly its dual attack type. Being able to launch both Magic and Ranged attacks every single round makes this monster an excellent backline damage dealer, especially in medium and high mana battles where every extra point of damage matters.
Another aspect that I really like is the combination of Opportunity and Bloodlust. Since Opportunity always targets the enemy monster with the lowest Health, Okora naturally has a higher chance of securing killing blows. Every successful kill immediately activates Bloodlust, permanently increasing all of its stats. Considering this monster attacks twice every round, there is always a good possibility that it will trigger Bloodlust multiple times during a battle, becoming stronger and stronger as the match progresses.
The Phase Ward ability is another useful addition because it grants the Phase ability to the monster positioned directly in front of Okora. This allows your frontline monster to evade Magic attacks just like physical attacks, making it much more durable against Magic-heavy lineups. Meanwhile, Kindred Will: Mimic further increases the monster's utility by granting the Mimic ability to adjacent Kindred monsters, opening up even more strategic possibilities when building your lineup.
Finally, although the Enrage ability usually benefits melee attackers the most, it is still valuable here because it increases Okora's Speed after taking damage. Since this monster does not use melee attacks, the melee damage bonus has no effect, but the additional Speed still helps it attack earlier and dodge more physical attacks. Overall, I believe Okora the Devourer is an outstanding dual attack Legendary monster that combines strong damage output with several powerful support abilities, making it a fantastic choice for many Dragon lineups.
