Splinterlands | Iziar is the best Reward card with Martyr ability

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying this beautiful weekend with your loved ones. But time doesn't stop for anyone my friend, so if you are a splinterlands player like me, then most probably you are working hard even this weekend with your gameplay in splinterlands, as only 17 hours left for this current ranked season to end. Every Splinterlands season runs for approx 14-16 days and thou most of the players play this game on a daily basis and collect their daily rewards, during the last 2-3 days the traffic increases a lot and players try to put all their brain power and efforts during these season last days to reach their favourite league or leaderboard position while collecting some more reward chests in the process. The case is pretty same with me and I spent a long time today only playing splinterlands with a single goal of reaching the top 10 spot in the Champion League to secure a good lb reward. Luckily, I stopped playing for the day after reaching 3rd place in the modern format champion league with a current trophy count of 4382. Now, even if I lose the 3rd place I am pretty sure that I will be staying within the top 10 position, so I will stop playing for this season unless I get out of the top 10. As only a couple of hours left, I don't think I will be out of the top 10 but I will surely keep an eye on the board while keeping myself ready for anything, as this is WAR and hundreds of players are fighting with their best just to reach this sacred place.

On the other hand, the modern format is getting slowly acquired by the latest Rebellion edition cards and day by day, I am seeing more and more rebel cards appearing against me and some of them are really giving me a hard time winning against them. While I am slowly buying rebellion cards for myself and have 3 max-level rebel cards and some more at lower levels, there are a lot of cards still left to be accumulated. But however, the previous Chaos Legion edition cards are still serving me well and not only the core or the mini set from this Chaos edition but the reward cards from this edition also work like a charm.

In this post, I decided to showcase one of them chaos reward cards that I really like to use often in the battlefield and most of the times, they get me good wins even when facing tough champion players in this game. As you have already guessed it from the thumbnail, today I will be talking about the IZIAR. So without wasting any more time, let us begin.

IZIAR

IZIAR is a reward edition card that was released within the chaos set and can be obtained only through reward chests that we have to earn by playing the game and opening reward chests. This reward card is soul-bound by nature which means we can not buy or sell, rent or delegate or even burn this card and the only way to obtain this card is through getting them in daily focus or season reward chests. This card belongs to the Life element and it costs a whopping 11 mana to be used in battles. It is a legendary type card for which, it needs a total of 11 BCX cards to be upgraded to max level and its attack type is magic. Now, let us take a deeper look into this card’s stats and abilities league wise at below.

Bronze

At level 1, this card possesses 2 magic attack at 3 speed with 12 health along with 2 abilities - Taunt and Void, both of which it gets since it’s initial level. The taunt ability here attracts every enemy attack in it if they are able to and on the other hand, because of the Void ability, it will take reduced damage from enemy magic attacks.

Silver

When at level 2, this card increases its stats further and gets 2 magic attack at 3 speed with 12 health. But no luck with abilities as it does not get any new at this level.

Gold

When upgraded to level 3, this card gets the same stats as of its previous level but instead receives a new ability - Martyr. Now I think this particular ability is the main USP of this card and makes this card very special as whenever this card dies, all the stats of the monsters placed adjacent to it get increased by 1.

Diamond / Champion

When you get at least 11 BCX cards and upgrade this monster to level 4, this monster possesses 3 magic attack at 3 speed with 14 health along with the 3 abilities that ai mentioned above. The increased magic attack will now help you to kill down enemy cards faster.

Battle Link

Match status

As you can see from the battle above, it was a large 42 mana limit match with 3 match rulesets applied - Wands out (only magic monsters can be used), Fog of war ( monsters lose sneak, snipe and opportunity ability) and Counterspell (all monsters get Magic Reflect ability) and only 4 elements were allowed in this battle - Fire, Life, Death and Dragon. As for my lineup, I chose the legendary Rathe summoner from Life element and chose Venari Spellsmith at my front, followed by Adelade Brightwing, lziar, Djinn Renova, Doctor Blight and Dax Paragon at the end.

As it was a peculiar match thanks to that ruleset combo where we can only use magic monsters but every monster will also get magic reflect ability, I got confused at first. But then I decided to increase the stats of 2 of my minsters by using the IZIAR and also decided to add the amplify ability as my other strategy so that I could increase the return damage to those enemy monsters and kill them faster. That’s why I chose the Iziar and 2 other monsters Adelade Brightwing and Djinn Renova adjacent to it. I also chose the Life legendary summoner Grandmaster Rathe, so that all my monsters get the Amplify ability to give back more damage and also the +1 armour along with Void Armour ability to all my friendly minsters so that they get saved from the very first magic attack in them.

When the match started, almost all of the enemy monsters targeted my Iziar and as expected, my Iziar died, got resurrected by Adelade and died again and as a result, it gave +2 stats to its 2 adjacent monsters Adelade and Renova. Thus they became so much more powerful and helped me well to kill those enemy cards one by one mercilessly. It was a tough match and I was also receiving magic reflect damage so much but luckily in the last, I was successful in killing all the enemy cards and winning this amazing match.
