Modern BRACKETS are the latest thing currently in the works at Splinterlands, so practically the entire community is focused on them. That’s why today I want to share something else with you regarding these new BRACKETS—though it’s more of a general tip or strategy, since it actually works in any game mode where we use our cards to battle, so even though I’m focusing a bit more on the new BRACKETS, the reality is that you can apply this anywhere you use cards—that is, Ranked, Tournaments, Brawls, etc.
While this is something that can be applied broadly, it’s a simple step-by-step process that players don’t usually follow—instead, they tend to play on intuition or completely at random, which is often fine, but the odds of this working out are pretty low, since we aren’t weighing our options, and we must remember that this is a strategy game and every move we make can be the difference between winning and losing. Plus, information is power—but you’ll understand why I say that.
So, if you want to know how to build winning streaks in the game and not die trying, you have to read this post all the way through, because as I said, it’s nothing out of this world, but I know it will help you make progress:

Well, in this section I’ll try to get straight to the point so you can understand the step-by-step process you need to follow before, during, and after each battle. What you do will help you make more consistent progress, win battles while understanding why you won, and lose battles while knowing what you did wrong and how to fix it. That’s why it’s important to apply these strategies:

Choosing the Right BRACKET

Rushing to choose a BRACKET—and, even worse, thinking only about the rewards—is a huge mistake, but it’s normal for new users to go through this, because it’s natural to try to choose the one with the largest SPS pool, though the best part of this update is that when you “click” on BRACKETS and get ready to select one, the system itself tells you which ones are right for you based on your deck’s level and collection power. That’s why, in the image, you can see only 3 available BRACKETS—this is great because we know where we can compete.
However, even if—as in my case—the Silver BRACKET is available to play, it’s a mistake to select it right away. The first thing we should do is the exact opposite: start at the lowest level, especially if you’re inexperienced. So, with that in mind:
Don't select the highest BRACKET: This is the first thing to keep in mind, because if we do that, we can fall into losing streaks very quickly and end up disappointed—which might lead new users to think the game is very unfair and so on.
Make sure your Deck is up to date: The next step is to make sure your “Deck” is actually at the level of the BRACKET you choose, because the game might recommend that you play in one BRACKET or another; however, you need to have at least 4 complete Splinters and some “Neutral and Dragon” cards ready to combine with the rest of the elements.

This is something practically no one talks about, since it’s a bit complicated to explain, but I’ll break it down simply so you can follow along. This is an important part of the “Step-by-Step” guide because if you manage to play against opponents who have a higher “Rating” than you, it means you’ll climb through the divisions much faster, which will guarantee you greater rewards.
Now, I’ll explain this in more detail below:
If your opponent has between 500 and 1,000 more points than you: You usually gain about 20 points—or at least that’s the average. However, if you beat an opponent who has 500 or 1,000 more points than you, you’ll receive a bonus—practically double what you normally earn—which means you’d gain about 40 points.
If your opponent has more than 1,000 points more than you: This usually happens when you have a balanced deck and are on a winning streak; you’ll start facing much stronger opponents, but if you beat some of them, you can earn up to more than 60 points.
IMPORTANT: Of course, there are many other factors to consider when analyzing your opponent. However, I’ll explain shortly what else we can analyze about them, because this is important when trying to build the winning streaks we need to climb the ranks and earn more rewards.

Well, here we’ll analyze our opponent a little more closely, since this is an important part of securing many victories—and the reality is that many players ignore this and focus on “Modifiers,” which isn’t wrong, of course, but if we pay attention to the players, we can identify patterns that allow us to excel on the battlefield. But let me explain:
Analyze Your Opponent’s Recent Lineups: Analyze your opponent’s last 5 lineups. Look at the Splinters they use, the cards they tend to repeat, and whether they use the same lineup very often. This creates a pattern that you can counter with the right abilities.
Adapt to the Modifiers: This is essential for increasing the odds in our favor, since if we adapt to the modifiers, we can choose the right cards that align with the rules. However, the flip side is to do the opposite: if we know that certain rules will have specific effects on the field, we can predict what kind of cards the opponent will play and counter their strategy.

As I said, this is more of a general guide that you can start applying in any game mode; however, if you want to get started in BRACKETS, you need to keep this in mind and test your cards and deck, develop strategies and combinations so you can get used to your cards—because the reality is that you need to practice to improve.
I hope this has been helpful. Leave a comment and let me know if you’ve applied any of this in the game.
